"Swan, there's something I need to tell you."

Emma looked over at him. "What is it? You know you can tell me anything."

"Well, actually, David gave you early maternity leave because he didn't want you to worry about the case."

"What case?"

"They found out about Jefferson and Zelena." He watched as Emma's mouth dropped. "He didn't want you to worry about it because of your pregnancy. And I went with him to the crime scene yesterday. He didn't give me an 'over-protective dad speech.' Emma, I'm so sorry."

"And you didn't think to tell me? Why would you keep this from me?" Emma asked, raising her voice slightly.

"He told me to."

"And you thought it was okay to lie to me?"

"No! Of course not! I hate to lie to you! I don't like it at all!"

Emma grabbed her keys and her jacket. "I have to think."

Killian ran his hand down his face. "Where are you going?"

"If I told you, you'd just follow me. I need to be alone."

"You'll be back?"

Emma gave one last glance to him before going to the car. Killian stood up and went over to the window and watched as she got into the car and driving away. He knew better than to follow her. He'd just bring her more stress and that was the last thing she needed.

He grabbed his phone and dialed David's phone number.

"What's up, Killian?" David asked when he answered the phone.

"I had to tell Emma what I was doing. The guilt was too overwhelming and I couldn't lie to her anymore. I'm really sorry, Dave."

"And how did she take it?"

"She got mad and ran. She said that she needed to think. I know she won't leave town, but she just left."

"I'll keep an eye out for her. Is there anything else you want me to do?"

"If you see her, can you tell her that I'm sorry and that I want her to come home?"

"I will. Bye, Killian."

"Thank you." Killian said and hung up.

He then dialed Emma's number. He didn't expect her to answer him though. As he was sent to voicemail, tears started to well in his eyes.

"Emma, you have to believe me. I was only doing what David wanted. He was worried about how you'd take on the case. I didn't want to add more stress and worry than what you already had on you shoulders. I tried so hard to be a better man for you, Swan. But I failed. And I fear that I might lose you because of it. I love you so much Emma, and I can never be mad at you. Just please come home."

Emma drove to a cliff that overlooked the town. She stared at the lights of Storybrooke. All she thought about was Killian. She wasn't even mad at him. She was mad at David because he told Killian to lie to her. She was mad because Killian listened. But at least he came out with the truth.

Her phone ringing interrupted her train of thought. She saw Killian's name flash on the screen. Her finger hovered over the answer button before changing her mind and pressing the red decline button. She threw her phone over into the passengers seat and stared out the window. It was now dark out and the lights were brighter than ever. Her phone dinged with a voicemail notification and she knew it was from Killian. She opened it up and pressed the play button.

Guilt built up in her stomach. Her head fell into her hands. 'How could I do this to him?' Emma started the car and headed towards the town line. She sat by the Leaving Storybrooke sign. She wondered if Killian really wanted her, even after she made all of the mistakes she had. Tears streamed down her face. It would hurt both of them if she left him forever. Not to mention that she was carrying his baby. It wouldn't be right. She glanced up at the road leading outside of town one last time, before turning around and driving back home.

Storybrooke was going to be their home. Her home.

She pulled up beside the house and saw that the kitchen light was on. There was a shadow being cast and she hurried up the steps. Her hand fell to the doorknob and she didn't waste another second to turn it and step inside.

"Emma?" Killian's voice called as his rushed footsteps became louder as he got to the entryway. She saw how bright his face was. A relieved look in his eyes. He ran to her and picked her up, spinning her around. "I'm so glad you're home! I missed you so much! I was worried that you weren't going to come back to me."

"I almost left town." She choked out in a sob. Her arms wrapping tightly around his waist. "I almost left you and this place. I figured that after all of the mistakes I made, you wouldn't want to put up with it anymore. But now, seeing you like this, all worried that I left and glad that I came home, I know it was stupid." She squeezed him tighter, burying her face into his neck to breathe in his scent.

"We both made mistakes, but that's what happens to people because we aren't perfect. Now, Swan, I don't want you thinking that I will ever hate you for being you. I love you. To hell and back."

"I love you too, Killian. To hell and back." She repeated.

I am currently on my way to Indiana for my cousin's graduation, so I don't know if there will be an update tomorrow. So far, yes, but if I don't, I'll be sure to update twice on Monday.
