"What did my-my- David want?" Emma asked. She wasn't able to say 'father' yet.

"He just wanted to know if you had your keys. He found a set and wondered if they could be yours." Killian lied.

"Nuh-uh. That's not why he called, but I'm not going to ask why and you aren't going to explain. Whatever the reason, I'm sure it's a good one. I also know that the only reason why you are keeping this from me is because he asked you to."

The tips of his ears turned a slight pinkish color in embarrassment that he got caught. "You aren't... Mad?"

"No. I just want to finish my date with you."

"He said that he wants you to start your maternity leave early. I say that maybe you can quit your job at the station. I make enough money to support all of us."

"Relax, Killian. I want to help, okay?"

He smiled. "Okay, love."

Later that night, Killian was in the shower while Emma sat on the bed reading a book about her pregnancy. A small twinge of pain settled in her stomach, but she refused to acknowledge it. The pain slowly grew and she dropped the book and clutched her stomach. She tried not to cry out in pain, but it slipped past her lips.

Killian ran out of the bathroom and looked at her in her pained state.

"What happened? Are you alright?" He asked urgently.

"I'm fine." Emma grunted out.

He noticed her arms wrapped around her stomach. Baby. He grabbed the phone and called for an ambulance.

"You're going to be okay." Killian said. He held Emma's head in his lap.

"Is it? It's way too early for this. Like way way way too early."

"You and the baby are going to be fine. It's probably just stress. Just breathe, okay?"

Emma took deep breaths and the pain started to subside slowly. Killian smiled as there was a knock on the door. A moment later, paramedics came in with a gurney.

"What's your name?" One of them asked.

"Emma Swan." Emma said.

"What's your relation to her?" The paramedic asked Killian.

"Fiancé."

"Good. We need to get her onto the gurney. Can we?"

Emma shook her head and buried it in Killian's chest. "I'll do it." He slid his arms under her legs and placed her on it. They wheeled her into the ambulance and Killian hopped in beside Emma and they drove to the hospital.

Killian had to sit in the waiting room while doctors checked Emma and the baby. While she was getting looked at, he called Mary Margaret and David. It was around midnight, but he figured that once they found out that there could possibly be something wrong with Emma, they'd want to come and see her.

"Whatever you want, Jones, you better get on with it. I did not order a wake up call." David said angrily.

"Emma's in the hospital." Killian said ignoring David's rudeness. "I don't know what's wrong with her, but she had stomach pains and-"

"Everything is going to be okay. We're on our way."

"What am I going to do if something happens to one of them?"

"Nothing. Nothing because they are both going to be alright. We are on our way." David said and hung up.

Killian paced the waiting room. He clenched his fists in his hair. He worried that the baby wasn't going to be okay, and that something was going to happen. He worried that something was wrong with Emma, and that it could be a lot worse than stress.

David and Mary Margaret walked into the hospital and she immediately went over to Killian and hugged him.

"She'll be okay."

"How do you know that?" Killian raised his voice, capturing unwanted attention.

"Lower your voice. You are capturing people's attention." David scolded quietly.

"I don't care! I don't want her to be here!"

"Mr. Jones?" A nurse said. Killian spun his head back so fast, he was surprised he didn't get whiplash. "Ms. Swan is asking for you."

Killian followed the nurse, forgetting about his friends. As he walked into the room, he saw Emma's face light up.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" He asked wrapping his arms around her.

"Dr. Burke said that it was just some excitement that startled the baby." Emma said calmly.

"Thank God. I'm so glad you both are okay." He bent down and kissed her stomach and then her lips.

A knock on the doorframe had them both pulling away from each other. Dr. Burke walked in with a chart in her hands.

"No more stress, Emma." She said seriously.

"Believe me, this will be the last time we visit this place until her next appointment." Killian said.

"Good to hear. But you could lose that baby if you aren't careful. Just relax." She looked up at Killian. "No sexual activities until her next appointment."

They both nodded. "Dr. Burke, what happens if this happens again?" Emma asked.

"Just take calming breaths. Try to stay out of stressful environments and try not to get too mad."

"Thank you."

"Anytime. Here are your discharge papers and you can be on your way."

Once Emma was dressed, her and Killian walked out into the waiting room and Mary Margaret and David ran up to Emma and surrounded her in hugs.

"Are you okay? What did the doctor say?" Mary asked worriedly.

"Just that I uh- need to rest and stay out of stress filled zones." Emma replied awkwardly.

"So, I'm going to take her home now." Killian interrupted. "We'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Okay." Mary Margaret said, reluctantly letting Emma go. She kissed her daughter on the forehead and they walked out of the hospital.
