Killian had been in the basement all day. Emma was afraid to see what he was doing. She was afraid to even think about it. She heard the basement door shut and knew that he was back upstairs, but she didn't want to see the blood that was most likely on his hands.

"Swan, he's asking for you."

She turned around and Killian didn't have one drop of blood anywhere on his body or his clothes. She stood up and went to the door. "Do you want to come with me?"

"That depends. Do you?"

"I don't care. Just five minutes alone?"

He nodded and kissed her temple. "Of course."

She walked down and saw Walsh sitting in a chair. There was a tray of food in front of him. It was a bowl of oatmeal and a glass of water. 'Wouldn't Killian have told me if he wasn't tied up?'

"Em, you have to get me out of here. I can go to the police and I can get us home." Walsh said.

"I don't want to leave. Home was never with you."

"So, you'd rather stay here?" Walsh stood up took a few steps closer to her. "Why?"

"Because I love him!"

Walsh raised his hand up and smacked Emma across the face. She held her cheek to try to stop the stinging pain.

"You are gone for one month, and then you go and forget everything I've taught you! You're so careless and stupid!"

Emma raised her fist up and punched Walsh in the mouth. He stumbled back and Emma ran up the stairs and locked the door. Killian looked at her with concern written across his face.

"You had 30 seconds left. Are you okay?" He asked putting his hands on her arms.

She shook her head and fell to her knees. "He hit me."

"How? I didn't untie him."

"He was free when I went down there."

Killian moved her aside and went downstairs. He left the door open and Emma heard him talk.

"How did you get out?" Killian asked.

"A magician never reveals his secrets." Walsh said smartly.

Killian grabbed his gun and cocked it, and aimed it towards Walsh. "I'm not going to ask you again."

"Emma has implied that you don't discipline her. You know, you really should. She can get out of hand sometimes."

"She is not a bloody dog."

"Right." Walsh said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"Here's what's going to happen. I'm going to put a bullet through your brain, but you are going to tell Emma who you were with last night, before I do." Killian took a few steps closer, and he saw Walsh nervously swallow. "Understand?"

The man in front of him nodded and Killian called Emma down. She took shaky steps down to the basement, and made sure to keep her distance from Walsh.

"He has something to tell you, love."

Emma glanced nervously between the two men. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at Walsh.

"You remember my business partner, Zelena?" She nodded. "Well she may or may not have come over to help comfort me because of your disappearance." Walsh explained.

Emma's jaw dropped. She put her hand over her mouth and ran upstairs. Killian pulled the gun out and aimed it towards Walsh's head.

"Any last words?" He asked.

Walsh looked down. "You are probably waiting for an apology for everything I've done to her, but I'm not giving you one. She was always a runner. She ran away from all of her foster homes when she was growing up. She needed to straighten up. She needed someone to balance her out. She grew up with no rules, and that's what I gave her. And when she didn't do what she was told, I gave her the consequences!"

"No you didn't. What you did was abuse her. Emma is perfect, and you are just a bloody fool to not see it." He put his finger on the trigger. "I hope you go to hell."

"I guess I'll see you there." And then it was done.

Killian pulled the trigger and now Walsh was lying on the floor. Blood starting to pool around him.

Upstairs, Emma's breath caught in her throat as she heard the gun fire. She ran to the bedroom and locked herself in it.

Killian worked to clean up the mess. He made sure all the blood was gone and wrapped Walsh's body up in a trash bag. He didn't put the hook on his arm, because many people thought the Captain Hook was gone, and that's how it was going to stay.

Emma heard the front door shut forcefully, and she figured that Killian was going to get rid of Walsh's body. She couldn't think about it. Walsh was cheating on her. Probably long before she got abducted. That was probably how he got the promotion. She slid down the door and tears pooled in her eyes. She was free, but at what costs?

Killian hid the body and rushed back home. It was around midnight now, and the rumble of thunder was getting closer. He drove home, and as he was pulling into his driveway, it started to rain. The rain would wash away any tracks that could have been left, but as careful as he was, he knew that there weren't any tracks, witnesses, or fingerprints. He climbed up the steps and saw the closed bedroom door. One thought flooded his mind.

Emma

He pushed on the door, but it wouldn't budge. She must have blocked the door. He knocked on it. "Swan, it's me." He heard a sob on the other side. 'Was she crying?' "Let me in, love."

The door swung open and Emma stood in front of him. Her eyes red but there weren't any tear tracks on her cheeks. "You killed him! Why? You can get caught for this!"

"No, I won't get caught. I know what I'm doing."

"Why did you do it?"

"I was trying to protect you! You wanted that bastard away from you, so that's what I did."

"No, that's what you wanted. I was content here with you. I was happy!"

"Then why aren't you happy now?"

"It's my fault he's dead! I fought with you, and that pissed you off, and then you go out, and decide, "Oh, I'm pissed off at Emma, why don't I just go out and abduct somebody." You went from zero to sixty in a second! How am I to trust that you won't take you anger out on me next time?"

"Have I ever hurt you? Have I ever made you doubt me? I'm protecting you! I pulled the trigger on the bloody gun, and I don't feel guilty about it. Not one little bit." Realization hit him. He looked at her face. Behind the tears was a look of fear. "You're scared of me." Emma looked down at her feet. "I will make you change your mind, Emma Swan. Even if it is the last thing I do." He said and then slammed the door.
