Chapter 6

I opened the gate with the key that Mom has given me.
I entered and put down my shopping bags on the table. There was a note on the table. I picked it up and read it.
"Hey sweety . I'm out with neighbors . I'll get back around 5 . ok? Love you. Mom."
I went to my room and lied down on my bed.
Alice was right. She tells me everything. But I. I don't. I know she is afraid that we might get apart "Again."
We have already lost each other once that too when we were in final year. It was so selfish of me . I ignored her that too because of a guy. Not intentionally though. But yeah. I did. I shook my head. Old day's Elena. Let's not think about them. Focus on the good part.
Alice is my first college friend. I'm so glad it all got sorted at the end. And till now we are together. Happy. Best friends.
I picked up my phone and texted her.
"Sorry and i love you bff."
She immediately replied. "Me too and don't be."
I smiled, put my phone aside and was about to fell asleep when i heard a door bell.
"Damn it." I went downstairs and opened the door.
"Surprise" Shanaya , my sister said.
"Omg. You're here." I hugged her tightly. Shanaya is my elder sister. We are so close. She is the only person with whom i can share all my stories, my thoughts, my feelings , anything and everything. Lol.
"I missed you." She said. She was staying in Paris for a while because of her work but now she is back.
"I missed you too but where is Blake?"
Blake is my younger brother who was staying in Paris and studying there.
"Why is he not back?"
"Exams baby ."
"Oh yeah . i forgot. It's okay . Atleast you are back." I said with a big smile.
"Now tell me what have you got me?"
"Nothing." She replied.
"Nothing? You are lying right?"
"I didn't get time for shopping baby. I was busy with work."
She is lying . i know because whenever she goes out she do bring me something. Every time.
"Oh really. Where are your bags?"
I stood up from the sofa and walked towards her bags.
"Sit down Elena ." i ignored her.
"Fine. Pass it to me." She surrendered.
"Ha. See i knew it." I clapped my hands. Girly . huh. I'm happy.
"Ya ya whatever." I passed them to her. She took out a big package.
"Here. Open it."
I took and "wow. Royal Blue dress. How did. Huh you know i was about to buy a similar dress but i didn't. N here you got me one."
She smiled "like it?"
"Haha like? I love it. Thank you" i hugged her.
At the same time someone knocked on the door.
"I'll just." I was about to stand when my sister stood up.
"Allow me." She winked at me and went to the door. She opened it and mommy was there but obviously she wasn't looking who has opened the door that's why she said
"Oh Elena I'm .." And she looked up. Finally. "Shanaya. Oh my my.!" She hugged her tightly."
"Haha. Yes mom it's me." She was smiling.
"Why didn't you call? Someone would have picked you up."
"Surprise mom. Surprise. I wanted to give you all a surprise."
"I'm so glad you are back. I'll make your favorite dish tonight."
She hugged her again and if i saw it right she was crying a bit. Well yeah my mom is a very sensitive person.
For dinner my mom made Shanaya's favorite dishes as she said.
It felt so good at the dinning table today. Dad , Mom , Shanaya and Me. I wish my brother would have been here too. Then it would have been perfect.
