We stepped outside the airport. I wanted to come here since i started learning Spanish and now I'm finally here.
We were staying in La Paz, a Mexican City.
A cab was already there for us to take us to our Hotel.
Throughout our way to the Hotel, my eyes were glued to the window. Everything is so beautiful. I can't to roam around and explore this place already.
I didn't even realise when we reach our hotel.
I stepped out of the hotel and i looked at our hotel; just like this place, this Hotel, La Posada Hotel & Beach Club, was as marvelous.
I averted my gaze to Mason and i realised he was already looking at me with an expression which didn't really understand. I was about to question him but the Owner of the company we are working with, Mr Juan Tissera came out of the hotel to greet us himself.
"Bienvenida" He welcomed us.
"Muchas Gracias Juan." Mason smiled at him.
"I hope your flight was fine." He spoke each word slowly.
"I see. Someone is learning English." Mason said.
"Yes. We can not keep our translators with us all the time, right?"
Mason looked at me for a second then replied to Mr Juan "Absolutely."
My mind started wondering as to why Mason glanced at me before replying to him. I shook my head. No. Stop it Elena. Focus.
"Espera que sus estancia será bien." Juan said to us.
Mason looked a bit baffled. He didn't understand a word.
"Muchas Gracias Señor." I said to him. "¿Él no entiende nada, sí?" He laughed.
"Sí." I chuckled too.
"Bien. Tengo que ir ahora. Vamos a tener la junta al mañana a las 10."
"Vale."
"Y esta. Adios. Disfrutaos."
"Adios." We both said and stepped inside the hotel. Mason took our keys from the reception. The receptionist knew English so Mason talked to her easily. That receptionist though was laughing as if Mason was cracking some Joke.
I stood beside Mason.
"You done Mason?" I asked Mason sweetly.
Mason looked confused but nodded.
"Great. Shall we then?"
He nodded again.
I turned to the receptionist and took the keys from her hand which she still hadn't given to Mason.
"Thanks dear." I smiled at her. "And please ask someone to drop our luggage in our room.
"Yes Ma'am." She replied and started doing her work.
Mason and I started walking. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor.
"What was that?" Mason asked me.
"What? I questioned him back.
"You know what Elena"
"Oh i don't." I looked another way.
"I smell something." He said suddenly. We reached my room. I opened it and we walked inside.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Jealousy." He smirked
"I was not jealous Mason Anderson."
I looked around. The room was beautiful. I walked towards the balcony.
"Keep telling yourself that." Mason said and i ignored. My focus was in the front. The view from here was amazing.
There was this beautiful beach and a little breeze. My hair were flying. Cold breeze hitting my face. I closed my eyes.
But someone disturbed my moment.
"Are you still alive?" Mason said.
I looked at him. "Idiot. Look at the view" he looked at it and smiled his beautiful smile. Those dimples. Damn. I love no i like this man. I closed my eyes again.
When i opened them, Mason was looking at me. A little smile on his face.
I shivered. I don't know why. We were staring into each other's eyes again.
"Elena."
"Hmm"
"I uh. .."
We suddenly heard someone knocking the door.
"What?" Mason shouted.
The boy looked startled "Your bags Sir."
Mason closed his eyes and when he opened them he looked calm and composed.
"Okay. Wait there."
"I'm going to my room. You also rest." I nodded.
"What was Juan saying earlier?"
"That we will have a meeting tomorrow at 10. We can rest and enjoy today."
"Okay. Bye." He started walking.
"Bye." I said.
"That bag is mine. Please take it and come with me."
The boy nodded.
Mason didn't look back. He closed the door behind him and left. Leaving me alone in this room.
I locked the door then lied down on my bed.
What was Mason about to say?
What if no one had interrupted us? Guess i'll never know.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
