I looked at my watch, it was 12:50 P.M. Mason came out of his office and walked towards the gate.
I shut down my computer and before leaving applied a little gloss.
"What are you doing?" Alice asked me. "And wait are you going somewhere?"
"Yeah. Mason is waiting for me downstairs." I told her in a low voice. I do not want anyone else to know about it.
"You won't have lunch with me?" She said in a sad voice.
I felt bad. "Umm Alice, actually.." I did not know what to say. Then I heard the bitch beside me laughing. I narrowed my eyes at her.
"You seriously thought that I will feel bad about it? You are so naive Elena." She laughed at me.
"I hate you Alice. " I looked at my watch it was 12:58 already.
"No you don't 'Edwards'." She said.
"Bye." I told her. I took my clutch.
"Enjoy." Alice said while laughing.
I shook my head, smiled at her and quickly went to the lift.
Mason was waiting for me outside the office in his car. I sat in the car and he quickly started driving.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"Surprise." He winked at me. I chuckled.
I like this Mason. In college I used to think that he is really arrogant and proudy that's why I never talked to him much. But this Mason. I smiled, what can I say now.
"Hey why are you smiling like that?" Mason asked curiously.
"Nothing." I replied.
"If you want to have a good relationship, you should ld be honest with your partner." He said while driving. I laughed.
"I was just thinking, how proudy you were used to be in college."
He gave me a look. "I was never proudy, just popular."
"Nopes. Well both actually." I said while thinking about the old days.
"You only think that way because you never talked to me." He said while shaking his head.
"May be." I shook my shoulders.
"Well you were always with others and in the finals with that Na.."
"Forget it. Past is past. Let it be there." He looked at me. I gave him a smile.
"Elena do you still.."
"What?"
"Like him."
"No. What made you think like that?"
There is no way that I like him till now. "No. I only have feelings for you." I said while looking at my hands.
He did not say anything.
"Mason?" I looked at him. "I only like.."
"I know. I trust you. It's just a thought of you being together with someone else made me agitated." He looked outside the window and then straight at the road.
I touched his hand. "That was years ago. Your feelings tend to disappear in such a long time. Anyway how do you know about it?" I asked him curiously. I never told anyone about it. It's my secret.
"All of us knew."
"Excuse me?" I asked, amazed and shocked. "What do you mean by all of you?"
"Our group."
"What the.. how?"
"Did you ever see your face? It was written a over there that how much you used to like him."
My mouth was actually hanging right now.
"You are kidding, right" I asked him, almost begging him to say yes.
"Sorry love. But I can't lie to you."
""Except him everyone else knew about it." I covered my face with my hands.
"That is so embarrassing."
"Haha." He laughed. "Don't worry about it. As you said it was years ago. You have become really mature now though."
"Meaning?" I asked.
"I do not think that any one has any idea about us or of you having a crush on me." He winked at me.
"Same applies to you Anderson." I huffed.
He laughed.
"We are here." Mason said after a minute.
I was confused. There was not much in the view right now. There were just so many trees. Mason stopped the car and got out. I was opening my door when he stopped me.
"Allow me." He said and opened my door.
"Thanks." He kissed me on the cheek and my face started to feel hot and my eyes closed. A little smile on my lips.
"Beautiful." I heard Mason saying.
I opened my eyes and looked at him.
"Not you. That girl there in white dress. "
What the hell? I thought annoyed.
Mason was still looking at her.
Yes she was pretty, tall and had a perfect figure But hey Mason is not allowed to say that.
"Yes she is." I said finally. I do not want Mason to think that i'm getting jealous right now. And in reality I should not be. I do not want to be like all those possessive and clingy girls.
Mason turned around me. A playful smile on his lips.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yeah." I shrugged and started walking.
Mason held my hand and I stopped.
He whispered in my ear, "Do you know where you are going?"
My eyes closed immediately.
Damn you body. Why you don't have any control over yourself.
He intervened our hands. I opened my eyes.
"Let's go." Mason started walking and started to follow him.
After walking a few steps I noticed a small cafe just like the one in Mexico.
"Wow."
"You like it?" Mason asked me.
"Of course." I smiled at him.
We entered the cafe.
It was a small but a beautiful cafe, with the wooden tables and fairy lights.
We sat on one of the tables.
We had pancakes and coffee. Needless to say they were delicious.
"How did you find this cafe Mason?"
"One day I was in a really bad mood and I was just roaming around. It was then when I found this cafe."
"It's beautiful." I said looking around.
"I know right." He gave me his dimpled smile which I loved.
"I don't want to go." I pouted when we were done.
He laughed. "Wanna bunk?"
"Yeah right."
I laughed. "Let's go before someone starts to notice."
"Okay."
We left the cafe and started driving towards the office.
Mason is so rich yet grounded.
He could have taken me to some fancy restaurant but he brought me here. I smiled at him.
"Like what you see?" The cocky bastard is back.
"How come you are so modest Mason?" I laughed.
"How come you are so sweet, Love? Oh wait you are sweet."
"Oh you know me." We both laughed.
I love this about our relationship. These little banters.
We reached our office.
"Let's get back to work Miss Edwards." Mason said to me.
"Yes Mr Anderson."
We both left the car and entered the office. The fun time is over.
