CHAPTER 25

I woke up early the next morning with a note tied to my finger which read; "went to work early babe but would like you to come to the Luxor to join me for lunch, Love you my Sweet Bess." I smiled at the note, and went to take a shower, afterwards I put on a cute red and black sundress, to wear to lunch. I called Sandy and asked her if she thought Criss would ever propose to me. Sandy said he should if he had any brains inside that crazy head of his. I gave her a mild laugh, but inside, was really wondering if he was ever going to legalize our marriage beens I knew legally our island marriage wasn't real now that Momma D finally likes me, she asked me constantly if he asked me yet, and every time I'd tell her the same thing, which was always still waiting for him to ask me.

It was 11:40 and I quickly fed Khan and Hammie, before I ran out the door, by the time I got to the Luxor I was 10 minutes late but I went to the Mindfreak store, it was closed. I ran to Liquidity, I found the same results. I went all the way down to the Believe Store, but it was closed also. it began to make me worry a little for Criss never had his shops all closed on a weekday. Finally I ran down to the auditorium, where he performed Believe, but all the lights were out. I started to turn away, but then I seen a tiny flame levitating and moving around me. I heard Criss's voice telling me to follow the flame. I eagerly followed the tiny flame. I got to the stage's edge, when the tiny flame burst and egnited into a large fireball, to where I could see how to get on the stage. I seen a table in the center of the stage with two red candles, and a white tablecloth with two closed food trays on it, along with a bottle of sweet cherry wine. Criss came out of the darkness, and pulled one of the chairs out for me then sat me down, and snapped his fingers together, his fingertip ignited into a small flame, as he lit the candles. then blew his finger out, he walked around and pulled the cork and served me first than himself, before sitting down across from me we both removed the lids from our food, and noticed it was one of my favorite meals, chicken parmesan, with garlic, and spanish rice. We ate but he remained unsubtly quiet, and just stared at me, when we finished we drank our whine. He stood up, and said he had to tell me something. I became nervous, even a little bit scared, I was automatically thinking the worst, he was going to tell me he was going to dump me for he found someone else better for him. I tried to stay in check until I heard what he had to say, before I broke down crying, either tears of joy or tears of pain.

He walked over to me, and began by saying how mean and wicked he was to me in high school, then he moved on to how much we avoided each other when we first seen each other during the reunion get together, then he jumped to how much I was annoyed by him, on our flight to our reunion vacation spot. Then when we got in the wreck, how close we became when we were depending on each other for survival, while we were stranded on the island, through it all I never once brought it up, at how much of an asshole he was. That I loved him no matter then he jumped back to the present time and said but all that is in the past, its time to move ahead. I felt tears trickling slowly down my face. he brought up the island illegal marriage we had, he walked away from the table, slowly turned to face me and gave me a little smile before reaching up and pulling one of the cords to the stage. I looked over to where the light was flashing, and I seen the backstage lighting up the words MARRY ME KC...I'M LOST WITHOUT YOU. all along the wall of the backstage. I was lost in emotion I couldn't speak or blink, my tears were now like waterfalls. Criss ran over to me, gave me a kiss, when he pulled away from me had a beautiful wedding band in between his lips. he slid the ring on my finger, and knelt down, and asked me again only this time verbally instead of writings on the wall. I knelt down in front of him, and said yes. and comically asked him what took him so long, that he made me wait long enough, he smiled and said better late than never. I jumped on him, and drowned him with kisses, and a few lovebites here and there. The auditorium's lights all came on, as I turned around all of our family and friends were standing around and cheering for us. Dimitra was in tears as bad as I was, she ran up to the stage hugged and kissed us both. Costa came up next, then JD, we had a family group hug, than Sandy came up and she said I told you he had a little brains in that head of his. I smiled, and told her she knew the whole time what Criss was planning, she just gave me a wicked grin and said she'd never tell. I ran back into Criss's strong embrace and held him tight. He whispered he loved his Sweet Bess in my ear then kissed my nose. I went to his ear, and said I loved my Amazing Sexy Greek Houdini, and kissed him very deeply.
