Kalin's POV
There she goes again, I think to myself as I watched the girl that lives across the street walk home.
"Kalin...Kalin...Kalin!" My name being called snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Are you watching that girl again?" Jake asked.
"Uh no," I lied. "What are you talking about?"
"He's bluffing!" Tyler yells from another part of the house.
"Why don't you just go talk to her?" Jake interrogated.
"Are you insane?" I say. "I can't just go and talk to her. What if she doesn't like me? What if her parents are crazy? What if she's crazy?"
"The only way to know that is to go talk to her."
"No way!"
"Chicken!"
"Hey!" Cam shouts. "Does anyone know where Myles is?"

My eyes widen and I peek outside again. Myles was talking to her.
"MYLES NEEDS TO BACK THE F*CK OFF HER!" I shout. "HE'S GOT A GIRL!"
"You have no chill," Cam shouts again.
"I can't believe you, Kalin," Jake says. "All you do is stare at that window at her like a stalker and that's pretty creepy. I doubt she's into guys like that."
"Hey I'm back!" Myles calls out.
"What did you say to her?" I say shaking him.
"Take it easy man," Myles said backing away a bit. "She invited us to her party this weekend. Her parents are going out of town."
"She's a rebel," Jake says. "These two are perfect for each other."
"Her name's y/n," Myles continues. "She seems like a nice girl."
"You know more about her than Kalin does and he's the one who watches her every move," Jake joked.
"Be gone!" I shout and kick Jake out of my room.

"You better talk to her at the party," Myles says seriously.
"I bet $20 that he won't do it!" Tyler yells from his room.
"I bet $30!" Cam calls out from downstairs.
"I bet $50!" Jake shouts from the bathroom.
"I bet $80!" Myles shouts.
"Myles!" I scold.
"You gotta do it!" Myles said. "You'll get $180 just to talk to a girl you've claimed you've always liked."
I thought about it for a moment. I could use some new shoes to be honest.
"I'll do it!"

Friday night...
Your POV
"Everybody get lit!" the DJ shouts into the mic. This party was insane and the house was packed. I wiggle my way through the crowd and bump into some tall light skin.
"I'm super sorry!" I exclaim.
"It's okay-" he begins and turns around. "Uh..."
"Um hi!" I squeaked. "You look familiar."
"Really?" he asks a bit scared.
"Yeah. You live across the street right?"
"Yeah."
"I've seen you play basketball a few times," I say running my hand through my hair. "You've got skills. I'm y/n by the way."
"Kalin," he says extending his hand. I take it and shake it. He looked amazing with his shirt on. He looked fine as hell without it, though. I would look out my window sometimes and he would be playing basketball with some other guys. The magic under his shirt will blind you.

We talked for a while and he's a pretty cool person.
"We should hang out sometime," I say.
"Yeah," he says. "Definitely."
We exchange numbers and I dance with him the rest of the night. He's not a bad dancer either. I could really get along with this guy.
