Throwing it back

Your POV
"Come on y/n!" Y/F/N whines. "I need my coffee!"
"Nobody told you to wait for me!" you shout from the bathroom. I swear I am never going out of state with this girl again.
"You're so impatient!" you complain coming out the bathroom. "Plus Starbucks is right across the street. It's not a block over."
"Doesn't matter," she says. "We have a long day of adventuring in front of us and you're dilly dallying. Let's go!"
You roll your eyes as you follow y/f/n out the hotel room.

You guys walk out onto the cobblestone streets of LA and head to Starbucks. When you get in there, it's jam-packed and the line was almost at the door.
"You're basic, boujee self can get Starbucks," you tell her. "But I'm going to Dunkin' and getting some cheaper, better coffee."
"Knock yourself out," y/f/n replies.
"Be back soon."
You walk out the shop and go a few doors down to Dunkin' Donuts. You order your coffee and two strawberry donuts. After receiving your coffee and donuts, you head back to Starbucks. You were feeling a bit adventurous and decided to walk past Starbucks to explore what else the city had to offer. You were taking pictures like it was nothing.
"Can't wait to get home and add these to the scrapbook," you say to yourself.
"Nice pics," someone from behind says to you.
"Why thank you!" you say.
"You're not from around here are you?" the guy asked.
"Nope," you say as you turn around to see who complimented you.

You were taken aback since he was so close to you. He was your height, had rosy cheeks, and dark brown eyes.
Aye he's kinda cute.
"Need a guide?" he asks.
"I would love that," you say smiling. At that moment, you felt your phone vibrate.
"What does she want?" you mutter. "Hello?"
"Where are you?!" Y/F/N screams into the phone.
"Geez Louise," you say. "Could you not be any louder?"
"I've been waiting for you for like seven minutes. I'm almost done with my drink and that's not an exaggeration."
Had I been gone that long?
"I'm coming your way in a sec," I tell her.
"I'm giving you three minutes."
"Okay Mom," I say sarcastically. "Bye."
"I'll let you go now," the guy says.
"Wait I didn't get your name," you say.
"Jake," he says. "You?"
"Y/N," you reply. "Let me put your number in my phone real quick before my friend kills me."
"Okay," he laughs.

You put your number and run off.
"Catch ya later!" you call back.
"See ya!" Jake calls back.

Jake's POV
"I swear your friendly nature is gonna get you caught up on day," Cam says to me.
"It hasn't yet so it doesn't matter," I reply.
"Who was that?" Myles questioned.
"Just some girl from out of town."
"Mm," Cam mumbles.
"She seems cool but not normal."
"What do you mean?" Myles asks.
"She seems more down-to-earth than most girls," I explained. "She didn't get all excited because she was talking to a guy. She was very casual."
"You're right," Cam says. "You don't find that in girls nowadays."
"Yeah," I said deep in thought. "She wasn't trying to get with me."
"Well she had your phone," Cam points out.
"Offered a tour."
"Dom's gonna kill you."
"She is not," Myles says defending me.
"You say that now. The next thing you know, you're trying figure out which casket to put your brother in."

I kind of blocked them after that. I couldn't stop thinking about y/n and not in like a romantic way, but how she seemed so subtle. It was amazing how chilled she was. She's not ordinary and I like that.
