Your POV
"This is it," your best friend, Jake, whispers beside you.
"I know right," you whisper back. "I'm so glad we're graduating."
You had been best friends with Jake since freshman year of high school and you guys have had your ups and downs, but, overall, great times together.

Freshman Year
You were walking down the hallway trying to figure out which room your class was in when you accidentally bump into someone.
"Oh my gosh!" you exclaim worriedly. "I'm so sorry. It's my first day and I'm only a freshman! Please don't take my lunch money!"
"You're fine," a male voice said. "I'm a freshman, too!"
You look up and see a guy around your height with rosy cheeks, brown hair, brown eyes, and pale skin.
"I didn't mean to overreact like that," you stammer. "I'm just-"
"It's okay," the guy assures you. "Are you lost?"
"Very," you reply.
"Well let's be lost together," he says with a grin on his face. "I'm trying to get to English."
"Same here."
You guys start to find your way to class.
"What's your name by the way?" the guy asks.
"Y/N," you respond with a shy smile.
"That's pretty," he says. "I'm Jake."
I think I found my first best friend for high school.

Sophomore Year
"Hi there beautiful," your boyfriend, Kalin, said coming up to you. He was a junior and the finest guy in school. Even the senior girls were trying to get with him.
"Hey," you respond with a smile.
"You comin' to Jake's house after school?" he asks.
"Yeah."
"Awesome!" he exclaims. "See you then."
He kisses your cheek and leaves. Right then, Jake comes up to you.
"What was that all about?" Jake asked sounding a bit irritated.
"What was what all about?" you question him.
"The PDA."
"That wasn't a PDA, Jake."
"In school, it is."
"You know? You've been acting strange ever since I started dating him, Jake. What's wrong?"
"Nothing!" he blurts. "He's just not right for you. I know his kind."
"And what's his kind?" you snap.
"The f*ckboy kind."
"Look! I don't know what your dilemma is, but I actually like him and I'm happy. What aren't you happy for me?"
"I just don't want you to get hurt, okay? He's bad news."
"Okay," you say irritably. "Whatever, Jake. I'll see you after school."
With that, you storm down the hall to your next class.

After school that day...
You were walking down the hall getting ready to leave school when you get pulled into the janitor's closet. The door was closed and you came face-to-face with Kalin.
"What're we-"
Kalin silenced you by smashing his lips into yours. You kiss back and it got very intense. His hands trailed up your shirt and you pull away quickly.
"What's wrong?" Kalin asked confused.
"I'm not ready," you say to him. "I don't wanna do this now."
"You are ready," Kalin persuades you.
"I don't feel like I'm ready for this kind of stuff, Kalin," you tell him. "I'm sorry."

You were about to exit the closet when Kalin aggressively grabs you.
"Kalin let me go!" you shout. "Somebody help!"
Kalin puts his hand over your mouth and you bite it. You dash out the closet and run into Jake. You pull him into a tight hug and cry on his shirt. He hugs you back but was confused as to why you were hugging him in the first place.
"Y/N!" he says. "What's wrong?"
"You were right!" you cry.
"About what?"
"About Kalin," you sob. "H-He tried to lure me into having it with him in the janitor's closet."
"Y/N!" you hear Kalin call out.
"Let's get out of here," Jake says dragging you out the door and into the parking lot.
"I'm so sorry, Jake."
"It's okay, Y/N. I forgive you."
"Thanks for looking out for me."
"Anytime."

Junior Year
Jake got himself a girlfriend. Her name was Dom Veracruz. She didn't really like you too much since you were Jake's closet girl friend. You tried to get along with her and be her friend, but she just wasn't having it. Jake talked nonstop about her, which made everything even more uncomfortable for you. For weeks, you were all alone. Jake always hung out with Dom and you didn't really have anyone else to talk to. He would go over her house and you would go over to his house and just chill with Myles. Then one day, you completely lost it.
