// Sapphire's POV \\
As Sapphire gazed up at the clock hung up on the tall bright colourful walls, the ear piercing noise of the bell rang.
Sapphire pushed herself up from her chair and walked out towards the classroom door, along with Liana and Donn.
Sapphire slowly began walking towards the buses. She spotted Matt running towards the group,
"Oh, hey Matt!" Sapphire smiled.
"Hey.." Matt said in a slightly angry tone
"What's up Matt?" Liana asked
"W..well I kinda..got into trouble" Matt said nervously
"And exactly what kind of trouble?" Liana asked
"Chris and I kinda got into an argument"
Matt replied "I've only got lunch time detention so it's not that bad"
Sapphire grabbed Matt's hand and dragged him along towards the buses.
Matt reached into his back pocket of his skinny jeans and pulled out a box of cigarettes. Before Matt could continue on pulling out the cigarette Sapphire snatched them out of his hands and angrily stared at him directly in the eyes.
Matt rolled his eyes and snatched them back out of Sapphires hands.
"God won't you just stop with this smoking nonsense I'm concerned about your health!" Sapphire moaned
" Look, I really don't care okay? It-it was my parents...! And, I can do what ever the hell I like!" Matt yelled with a bad mood.
As the two reached the busses, Matt shoved in front of Sapphire.
"What's wrong with him?" Sapphire thought "He's not acting himself."
Liana and sapphire sat down on the back row of seats on the bus, expecting Matt to sit with them. She raised her eyebrows in confusion as Matt completely avoided the back and sat on a different seat.
Sapphire nudged Liana and insisted on asking Matt what was wrong. Liana was better friends with Matt and kind of knew him a bit better, so Sapphire assumed that she was expecting maybe a little bit more information out of him.
"He's worried that Chris is gonna beat the crap out of him" Liana explained, sighing. Matt was usually a bubbly and talkative person that would talk for hours with them, he was acting strange. Sapphire looked back at where Matt was sat, and a puff of light grey smoke came from the top of the seat. Two girls sat behind him spluttered and coughed at the stench.
The bus stopped sharply at the first stop, which happened to be their stop. Sapphire stood up from her seat and pulled her bag on her back. She watched Matt do the same and pull up his hood covering his small pale face.
Sapphire turned around to face Liana
"Bye see you tomorrow" Sapphire smiled
Matt hung his head low as if he were ashamed of something.
"Matt, are you okay?"Sapphire asked. Matt turned to look at her, and smiled goofily. A cigarette hung from the gap between his top row of teeth.
"ish" he said simply, managing a laugh. Sapphire just smiled, and pushed open the gate to the beautiful front garden.
"Oh hey Mom!" Sapphire greeted as she opened the door.
"Hey Sapphire, Hey Matt" Her mother replied.
"Ello" Matt replied, his face still covered by his hood.
The both of them went straight up the stairs and headed to Sapphire's room.
Matt dropped his scruffy looking bag on the soft carpet and dropped to his knees.
He then pulled out a video game and held his knees to his chest, his hands seeming to move automatically.
Sapphire was unsure of what to do and dropped to the floor to comfort him. Matt looked up at Sapphire and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly.
"Sorry" he muffed into the clothing of her shoulder. "It's just- Fuck, Chris is the strongest person in our damn school."
"Aww Matt" Sapphire said with empathy
"You big softy"
Matt grinned at Sapphire and chuckled
"Oh Saph what would I do without ya?"
*Knock Knock*
The both of them turned to face the doorway.
"Hello you two" Sapphires dad smiled
"I have some good news! Matt's room is all set up!"
"Finally room to myself" Matt chuckled
Sapphire rolled her eyes at Matt and chuckled along with him.
"Well then Matt I'll let you settle into the room in your own time." Sapphire's dad said "Your room's opposite Sapphire's. If any of you need anything call us!"
Sapphire's dad smiled at the two and closed the door behind him as he exited.
He pushed himself up from the bed and picked up his scruffy backpack and threw it onto his back.
"Well I guess I better set up in my other room then" Matt suggested
"Alrighty I'll see you tomorrow then Matt" Sapphire replied "have a good sleep"
"Night Saph" he grinned.
*slam* the door shut behind Matt as he left the room.
