// Matt's POV \\
Matt swung his legs under the table, slipping a little piece of Nicotinell gum into his mouth. Nicotinell helped stop his... Addiction. It was Matt's fault he gave in to his parent's peer pressure and took that damn cigarette; all his fault.
He chewed on the gum quietly, so the teacher wouldn't notice. Matt was the only person in the class at the time. Having detention for French class, he couldn't get to see Liana and Sapphire at break, but he was early for his art lesson.
Matt loved art and design class. It was the only thing he was good at. Being in bottom class for every subject except art, technology and computer design kind of made him have to like it.
The teacher walked in, her heels clipping and clopping loudly on the wooden floor.
"Morning Matthew! Detention again, I take it? What was it this time?" Her sweet voice asked, with a giggle.
Matt coughed. "...Throwing paper airplanes filled with cigarettes at the teacher" he laughed awkwardly, looking to one side.
The teacher, Miss Burton, tutted and laughed, before the door was slammed open by Liana, Sapphire and some other boy with fluffy turquoise hair.
Matt ignored him at first, until they sat down in their normal places; Liana sitting opposite Matt, and Sapphire sat next to him on a square table. The teacher greeted the boy, and pointed at the table he and his friends were sat on.
"Yes, Donn, is it? Welcome to Spring Valley Academy! Take a seat." Miss Burton smiled warmly.
His name was Donn.
Donn sat opposite Sapphire on the square table, and Matt took a glance at Donn, only to blush like a maniac.
His bisexual senses triggered.
Oh lordie, this dude was a hottie.

Matt stared at Donn, until his eyes met the boy's. As soon as Donn noticed Matt was staring at him, Matt looked away, his face going bright red. Matt blushed easily, almost in a bad way. This lesson was going to be long. Biting his lip, Matt looked at Liana, who was also staring at Matt with a lifeless expression. Matt directed his head towards Donn, as if to say to her:
'You know this dude?'
Liana simply nodded, clearing her throat.
"Oh uh, Donn, this is Matthew... Or Matt. Just call him Matt." Liana said smiling.
Donn reached an arm over the table as if he expected Matt to shake it.
"Mhm." He said, laughing. "Nice to meet you dude"
Matt looked at the hand for a second, before slipping his hand into Donn's and trying not to die. His hand was cold and smooth, so delicate to the touch.
Slowly shaking it, he looked at Donn directly in the eyes. Sea green. Matt didn't let go of Donn's hand and stared at Donn's eyes, almost getting lost in them. This dude was low-key perfect. Low-key beautiful.
Donn, obviously getting uncomfortable, eventually snatched his hand away, but politely smiled after doing so. Matt smiled goofily, laughing and running a hand through his hair, only to get his hand caught in the brown mess of curls. He grunted, pulling his hand out slowly and awkwardly. Ignoring it, Donn lay back casually in his chair and swung back and forth. Matt blew up a big bubble with his 'special' chewing gum.
Donn's eyes met with Matt's again. Every movement of his made Matt's heart flutter. He barely knew this guy, but he seemed amazing.
"Oh uh... I like your bandages," The turquoise haired teen complimented.

Just after this compliment phrase had finished, Matt's gum-bubble popped. He looked to one side, the blood rushing to his cheeks. Smiling like an idiot, he chuckled.
"Heh, thanks! I like your hair-"
The class was disrupted by the teacher's booming voice. Sapphire and Liana seemed to be rather silent, and Matt found it suspicious. They knew Matt too well. Immediately paying attention to the teacher, Matt smiled from ear to ear as the task was explained; they had to draw a portrait of someone on their table.

Oh my god.
Please, Donn, choose me.
Either way, Matt chose to draw Donn.
He was good at art, so, he was hoping he would grab Donn's attention by it. Come on, everyone needs a dude that can do a good peer portrait. The teacher let them get on with it.

The teacher announced 'ten minutes left' of the lesson, and that's when Matt looked up to see who his group had drawn. Donn had his head down, so he couldn't see what he was doing. Anyway, Matt looked over at Liana. He made eye contact with her as she looked up from her work. She was drawing Matt. Matt's eyes widened.
"Aw, Lian', you didn't have to!" He giggled, flattered. "Oh my lord, that's amazing..." Matt said in awe, staring at the paper. Liana's cheeks went rosy pink. She looked so cute when that happened.
"Thank you!" She giggled, poking Matt's cheek.
Sapphire looked up from her work, smiling.
"Matt, what exactly are we going to do at the park tonight...?" She asked, tilting her head. Smiling and sticking his tongue out, Matt replied,
"Up to you, kiddo. Also up to your parents for what time we are out until. I'd normally be out for the whole night, because I hated it at home, but I bet your parents think otherwise so uh... Maybe we can just set some things on fire and check out fox dens?" He suggested, shrugging and biting the end of his pencil lightly. Sapphire nodded, along with Liana.
"Sounds cool!"
Donn seemed to be really trying hard, he hadn't even looked up until the end of the lesson.
Sapphire, being the shy little girl she is, simply furrowed her eyebrows and continued drawing, whispering a 'thank you' when Matt complimented her drawing of Liana.

The bell rang, making an ear piercing noise. Never mind about the long lesson, that went by really quickly. Donn ran out quickly, after another boy.
"You little-!" Donn exclaimed, and the sentence was cut off with the door being slammed shut. Shaking his head and puffing out his cheeks, Matt broke it to them.
"Well, I have detention at lunch too. I didn't even bloody do anything! The teacher just straight up gave me detention!" Matt ranted, sighing. He shook it off and ruffled a hand through his hair. The two girls nodded slowly, as if to say that it was all fine. Sapphire began to leave the room, for Liana took forever to get a simple coat on. Matt waited for her, despite the fact he didn't have the same class as her next.
Liana squinted her eyes and slipped her bag on her back.
"Matthew?" She asked.
Oh god, she used his full name. This meant serious business.
"Do you like Donn?" Liana asked. Matt blushed furiously.
"No- I mean, okay yes. Just... Don't tell anyone, got it, little miss gossip?"
Liana nodded and put a finger over his lips, giggling.
"Alright, Mr Crush on Everyone" she replied.
They walked out the room, to meet Sapphire waiting for them at the door. Well, time to not see them for the rest of the damn day.
He looked at the clock. Jeez, Liana knew how to spend time.

Late for History class already, whoops.
