Chapter 22 - Awkwardness and Apple Pies.

\\Sapphires POV//

Sapphire rested her head against the beds headboard and gazed at her phone. She smiled as she received a text off Evan.
"Hey Saph! Wanna come 2 mine?"
The message read. Sapphire tapped fast against the screen of her phone to give a reply to Evan.
"Yeah! I will come to yours at 11:30 :) " Sapphire replied.

"I better get up then I suppose" Sapphire mumbled to herself. Sapphire pushed herself up from underneath her covers and dragged herself out of bed. Sapphire rubbed her eyes in an attempt to wake herself up whilst walking towards her drawer full of clothes.
"hmm.. What should I wear" she thought to herself. Sapphire rummaged through her wooden chest of draws and pulled out a pretty, black and white striped shirt and a pair of pale blue jeans.
"Matt do you think Evan would lik-
I.. I mean does this look nice? " Sapphire asked Matt
"Uh yeah I guess" Matt replied while shrugging his shoulders "don't ask me for fashion advice"

Sapphire slung her purple and pink, girly backpack on her back and said goodbye to Matt.
"Bye Matt" Sapphire chuckled while scuffing up Matt hair.
"Bye Saph" Matt replied while pushing her off him.
Sapphire proceeded to walk out the door slamming it was a shut behind her. As she reached the bottom of the stairs Sapphires mother came to greet her.
"Good Morning Saph" Her Mother smiled.
"Morning mum, I'm off out to see Evan" She replied.
"alright saph, have fun then!" Her mother said while handing her a breakfast snack bar. She took the bar off her and wrap her arms around her mother to give her a hug.
"Bye Mum" she said as she eventually reached the door.
"Bye Saph" Her mother replied

Sapphire began to walk down the street of where she lived as Evan only lived 15 minutes away from wher Sapphire and Matt lived. Sticking her hand in her pocket, Sapphire pulled out her beats earphones and shoved them into her ears while she played her favourite song which was Closer by Chainsmokers.

Sapphire looked up and realized where she was and started to perk up with Joy. Sapphire had never been to Evans house but had tried his best to describe it.
"Blue door... The numbers 99 in silver and lots of flowers outside" she mumbled to herself.
"I found it! " Sapphire squealed.
Running as fast as she could, Sapphire slammed open his garden gate and eagerly knocked on his door.

As the door opened Sapphires face was filled with happiness as you could tell from her giant grin. Evan stood there with his red and black striped shirt with a black t-shirt and jeans.
"Hey Saph! Come on in" Evan smiled.
Sapphire stepped into Evans behind her.
Eventually the pair of them sat on Evans bed.
"I'm gonna turn my speaker on" Evan said while approaching his desk.
Evan flicked a switch and the speaker turned on.
"what do ya wanna listen to? " Evan asked.
" uh.. Anything in the charts I guess" she replied.
Evan nodded as he swiped away on the screen of his phone.
"you like this right?" Evan asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Twenty one pilots isn't it? " She replied
"yup!" he said.

The both of them lay there on Evans bed and stared up at the ceiling above.
"Its your birthday soon Saph am I right?"
"yeah" she replied
"well... What would you like me to get ya? " he said while cutely booking her on the nose.
Sapphire blushed and looked at him with in the eyes.
"aw thanks but, you don't have to get me anything Evan!" I Sapphire blushed.
"alright I will surprise you" He said with a grin.
Sapphire continued to blush and smile at Evan.

Sapphire slid her backpack on her knees and pulled the zip up to open it.
She pulled out her sketchpad and pencil case.
"lets see some of ya drawings then Saph" he said while pointing at the sketchpad

A few hours had passed by.
"I don't think I have laughed this much in a long time Evan" Sapphire chuckled
"me neither" Evan said while looking into her eyes.
Evan attempted to slither an arm up over Sapphires arm.
"you're one of the nicest and funniest person I have ever met Saph" Evan sighed
Sapphire blushed and stared at Evan.
"aww Evan, same goes for you" she replied.
Evan head slowly began to tilt towards Sapphires when all of a sudden a loud noise came from down stairs.
"EVAN, SAPPHIRE COME DOWN HERE" Evans mother shouted.
The pair of them awkwardly pulled apart from each other and stood up and walked down the stairs together.

"Hello you two! " Evans mother said with a smile.
"hey mum what did you want us for?" Evan asked.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to help me bake,"
"I'd love to help!" Sapphire replied with joy "I love baking!"
Evans mother smiled and lead them towards the kitchen.

Another few hours had passed and Evans Mother started to pull the tray out off the oven.
"I love the smell of freshly baked apple pie" Sapphire said while sniffing the air.
"me too!" Evan replied
The pie Had finally cooled down and Evan had grabbed a knife to slice into it. Evan pulled out the a big first slice and gave it to Sapphire, He then sliced one for himself.
"This is really good!" Sapphire exclaimed
Evan nodded his head in agreement.

After the two had finished eating it was almost time for Sapphire to go.
* 4:30 * the clock read.
"I've only got half an hour left" she said with a sad face.
"well at least we have had fun" he replied with a smile
Evan lead the way back upstairs to his bedroom.

Both of them slumped themselves onto Evans bed.
"I love hanging out with you Saph," Evan Smiled. "Have you met Luke yet? He's just as cool as you."
"Luke? Isn't he Donn's brother? Oh and... Me too Evan," she replied "Me too,"
"Who's Donn?" Evan laughed. "Luke is an only child. You must have the wrong Luke in mind."
Sapphire began to collect her belongings and shove them into her backpack.
"do you need any help Saph?" Evan asked
"No I'm fine thanks for asking" she laughed.
Sapphire slung her backpack onto her back and pulled her headphones out of her pocket.
"I best be going then" Sapphire sighed.
Sapphire and Evan both began to walk back down the stairs towards the front door.
"Bye Saph hope to see you again soon" Evan smiled
"I hope to see you again too" she replied.
Evan awkwardly placed his arms around her and gave her a hug. Sapphire blushed and out her arms around him to.
"Bye Saph," he said
"Bye Evan," she said while waving.
