// Matt's POV \\
Matt tapped his fingers loudly on a table, his foot automatically tapping along with it. He could tell he was getting on the teacher's nerves, but she didn't tell him to stop.
As he looked around the rather small room, with cream painted walls and motivational posters hanging around. Shuffling in his plastic chair, Matt tilted his head back to look past the wood wall which isolated him from talking to people sat next to him. Chris was sat to his left, and Donn was sat to his right. The teacher shot Matt a glare and he sighed loudly, lifting his head and continuing the tapping noises.
Expectedly, another teacher walked into the room. He was rather short, wearing a suit with hair styled in a quiff. The teacher called Matt's name and at this, Matt stood up, the chair he was sat on pushed back from the back of his legs and fell over, landing at the other teacher's feet. Matt didn't bother to pick it up and walked over to the male teacher. "Here, sir." He smiled, looking at Donn and Chris.
The male teacher looked at Matt. "Come with me, mate."
Raising an eyebrow in confusion, Matt followed him. He shrugged at Donn, who seemed to be questioning why on earth every male teacher seemed to call Matt 'mate', and every female teacher called him 'sweetie'. In all honesty, Matt didn't know either.
~
Matt swung his legs back and forth while sat on yet another chair, which was placed in front of a desk. On the other side of the desk sat the male teacher which had taken him there.
"Alright, Matthew, can you tell me what happened today please?" The teacher asked, whipping out a pen and placing it down on a piece of lined paper.
After explaining everything and answering a few extra questions the teacher asked, the teacher nodded and gestured for Matt to leave, clicking his pen. Obediently, Matt left the room. Jeez, there were so many rooms in this school that he didn't even know existed. Matt was just worried for Donn, as he was the one that stood up for Matt and lowkey started the fight after all. Chris really got on Matt's nerves, so he promised himself that if Donn and Chris ever got in a fight again... Matt would kick Chris' head into his body. Well, not literally, but something on the line of standing up for Donn, and hurting Chris. Instead of walking back to isolation, he made his way to Liana and Sapphire's last class to annoy them through the window. He checked the year timetable. Sapphire and Liana had geography class at the moment. The teacher never really taught particularly well, she would find random videos on YouTube about the thing she intended to teach and make the class watch it. Liana and Sapphire examined stories where she played really bad 3D animations about gated communities, Random 'Top 10' videos and apparently vegetales too. Matt ran up to the giant window and began to watch the thing that the teacher had put on the TV screen. It some video about volcanoes or whatever; Matt wasn't in their class so didn't really know what they were doing. He made eye contact with Liana, waving. Next to her sat Evan and Sapphire, who were talking to each other.
Matt pointed towards Evan and Sapphire, then made a love heart shape with his hands, giggling to himself as he looked at Liana. "They are sooo flirting" he mouthed. Liana made a face of concern at the two, then looked back at Matt with an agreeing nod- Aaand the bell rang. Matt walked through the doors to reach their block, waiting outside the classroom. As soon as the class was let out he grabbed Sapphire and Liana's hands, running to the isolation class to fetch Donn. When the teacher noticed the three of them waiting for him, she excused Donn and he immediately threw his bag on his back and legged it out of the class. The four of them greeted each other warmly and talked smack about Chris.
"I can't believe he did that to us!" Donn hissed through gritted teeth.
"He's more annoying than Miss Roberts." Sapphire snapped back.
"Why would he pour water over Matt out of nowhere?" Liana yelled. FINALLY, Matt thought, somebody actually cared about what happened to Matt.
"Thanks for standing up for me. I owe you all big time." Matt muttered.
Everyone shook their head.
"No, Matt, we should owe you. We tempted you to come back to school and this happens." Donn and Liana said at the same time. Sapphire stood awkwardly, having no idea what they meant because she was with Evan.
Blushing, Matt looked to one side. "I don't know why my parents would just pretend they barely know me like that." He tried not to tear up, but act like a tough cookie.
"I'll be fine, my parents are just the worst." He groaned.
Liana shuffled awkwardly.
"The reminds me... I've been wanting to tell you all this since we met, but I could never find the right time- the right words." She cleared her throat. Everyone in the group looked at her with a confused expression. Liana sighed and explained about how her parents were very 'rich', and that she lived in a mansion; including having a butler. Everyone in the group's expressions went from confused to their mouths hanging almost down to the ground. Liana smiled awkwardly, biting her tongue nervously. Matt hated silence, so he broke it.
"Lian? Sooooo... Can I play video games at yours now?" He asked, grinning. "I bet you have like... A 3D flatscreen TV! And... And... Five Playstations!" Matt flailed his arms excitedly.
Liana simply giggled as Sapphire continued to have a look of shock.
"Is this a prank on me or something...? First there was a fight out of nowhere today, and then... And then you tell us you're rich!" She looked at her hands, Liana giving Sapphire a worried look.
Sapphire burst out in laughter, and the group joined in.
"Why did you keep it a secret for so long? Of course, we don't mind!" Matt blurted.
Donn smiled, rubbing his head.
"Jeez, I've only known you for a good few months, and it's even a shock to me." He chuckled, stretching out his arms and offering a group hug. Of course, everyone else joined.
"Thanks, guys." Liana laughed awkwardly.
Matt looked up at her.
"So... Since you can afford it... You, Me. Video games. Saturday. Give me your address, and I'll be right there."
Liana looked down at him, raising an eyebrow.
"Whatever you say, Blouse."
