Chapter 15 - Damn, arent gullible parents great?

//Sapphire's POV\\

Sapphire sat on the soft velvet recliners of Donn's living room and stared at the mess around her.
"I'm glad I didn't drink too much last night" she thought to herself.
"So Saph, what was drinking for the first time like huh?" Matt said while sitting next to her.
"Uh, alright I guess. Don't really get why people do it because it taste kinda gross" she replied
"Oh Saph" Matt said while chuckling "you're such a softy"
"Hey! It was my first time" Sapphire said while nudging him in the arm.
Matt glanced at Sapphire and proceeded to laugh.

"Well better help them clean up" Sapphire said while sighing
"Alright then, I'll help too" Matt replied
The both of them stood up from the couch and walked towards the towers of empty can and bottles. Pretty much everything was already picked up, but the house still looked messy.

*a couple hours later*

"Ugh finally" Sapphire moaned in relief.
Sapphire walked over to her bag and pulled out her mobile to check the time.
*13:55* the phone displayed.
"Oh god Mum's gonna kill us" Sapphire
Shouted towards Matt.
"God damn it Saph! You're such a goody two shoes!" Matt shouted back
Sapphire rolled her eyes and walked towards the door.

Sapphire thanked Donn for inviting them and started to walk home with Matt following behind her.
"Matt don't you see that we're gonna have to make up a cover story!" She said in anger "we can't just say that we were out drinking, UNDERAGED DRINKING!"
"Ok, good point. I'm pretty good at lying  so I'll think of one" he replied. "In addition, I'm the new son. Always trust the new kid." He made double guns.
"But before anything else we gotta cover up the smell of alcohol on us"she said while pulling out a can of aerosol "spray this on you"
"No way dude! It's girly spray" he said with furrowed eyebrows.
"Well then you leave me no choice" she said while spraying it all over herself and Matt.
Matt squealed like a girl and slapped the can out of her hands.
"Ughhh gross!" He aid in anger
"Haha sorry but I had to!" She said while chuckling.

Finally the two of them reached the house.
Sapphire's hands were sweaty and she began to panic.
"Matt you've got a cover up story right?"  She asked
"Yeah yeah don't worry" he replied

Sapphire pushed open the door to house and braced herself for punishment.
"Where were you last night!!!" Sapphire's
mother shouted in anger.
"Well basically... we went to the park, and then we saw uh... Donn! You know Donn, right? Well, he offered for us to stay at his for the night. Sapphire, being the polite goody two shoes she is, said yes." Matt replied to Sapphires Mother.

"Hmmm" Sapphires mother said suspiciously while glaring at them.
"Well next time at least let me know" she said while chuckling.
Sapphire nervously laughed along with her mother and proceeded to run up the stairs along with Matt.

"Holy cow dude!" Matt said in shock "your mum actually believed it!"
"I..I don't even know what to say! I'd never thought that she'd buy that story !"

Both of them sat on the floor and leaned back onto Sapphire's bed.
"What a crazy night" Sapphire laughed
She glanced down at her phone.
A notification appeared on her notes, she clicked on it to see that Evan had left his number on her phone.
"OMG! Matt I've got Evan's number!" She squealed with delight.
Matt slowly turned his head towards Sapphire, grinning goofily and wiggling his eyebrows with a chuckle.
"Dude."
