Chapter 11 - A Lovely Day Out...

It was a glorious sunny morning. Bright golden beams of light pierced through the deep purple curtains of Sapphires room.
Sapphire sat herself up and pushed the duvet off of her and reached for her phone.
"I better text Liana to see if she's coming" Sapphire thought to herself.

There was suddenly a loud thud on the door. Matt's small head popped through the door his brown slightly curled hair covered his face.
"Oh...hey Saph" Matt said "you ready yet?"
"Uhm not at the minute I'm kind of mid way through texting Liana" Sapphire replied
Matt nodded and exited, shutting the door closed.

Sapphire: Hey Lian :p
Liana: Hey :)
Sapphire: R u on the way to mine?
Liana: Yep! see you in a min :p
Sapphire: k see you in a min then

Sapphire placed her phone back onto the small wooden cabinet beside her bed and pulled herself up from her pit.

Eventually Sapphire had put her hair up neatly into a tight ponytail.
"Come on then Matt!" Sapphire shouted across the hall.
Matt paused his loud music coming from his video game and replied with "coming!"

The both of them ran down the old creaky stairs into the kitchen to meet Liana.
"Hey guys" Liana said while gasping for breath
"Jeez Liana you got here fast" Matt pointed out.
"Yeah, I ran all the way here" she giggled.
"...while texting?" Matt replied, raising an eyebrow. Liana just shrugged and laughed.

The small group headed towards the car that was parked outside the house. Sapphire's parents were planning on taking Sapphire and her gang somewhere special.
Sapphire's parent sat into the passenger and driver seats and turned around to face them.
"So then kids," Sapphire's mother said "We're going to............the ZOO!"
The three of them gave an enthusiastic cheer and then continued to sit in silence.

Half an hour passed. Sapphire peered over at Matt, who looked like he was trying so hard not to fall asleep while listening to music.

After the long hour journey, Sapphire
and Liana opened the shiny car door the let the fresh air in.
Sapphire's mum grab her arm and pulled her over to the side and began to smother her in sun cream.
"Ugh, mum I hate sun cream" Sapphire said in annoyance
"Here you go put this on guys" Sapphire's mother said while handing them the bottle of sun cream.
"Thanks" Liana said while taking the bottle. Matt didn't put anything on, and pretended like he wasn't there.
The three of them approached the park gates, walking up to a man with a glass pane in front of his face for him to talk through. Sapphire's parents got into the car and drove away, waving goodbye as they left. Sapphire had no idea where the heck they were going, but she didn't want to go with them.
"three children" Sapphire asked.
The man handed her the tickets through the booth and told the cost.

In the distance you could some sort of animal in the background, maybe a monkey.
As they got closer and closer to the noise, they could see a small chimp sitting on the branch inside of its enclosure.
"How cute is that" Sapphire giggled, pointing at it.
After a couple photos of it they proceeded to walk to the next enclosure.

A quite big building was up next. A big green and yellow sign was nailed into the wall, the sign read : Petting Zoo.
"Aww a petting zoo I love them!" Sapphire said with joy.

Matt pushed open the big wooden door of the building.
There were several different pens with rabbits and all sorts in them.
"Hey guys would you like to hold any of the animals?" The lady asked
"I would" Sapphire replied
"Me too!!!" Liana added
"Matt don't you wanna hold one?" Sapphire asked, tilting her head.
"Nah, I'm okay." he replied

The both of them picked which animal they wanted to hold and waited for the lady to pass it to them.
Sapphire picked the bunny and Liana had picked the Guinea pig.
"Aww they're so cute and fluffy!" Liana exclaimed
"I know! I love it" Sapphire replied

Eventually the both of them had enough cuddling with the animal and decided to find somewhere to eat lunch.
"Over there, on that table!" Liana yelled, pointing towards a bench-table.
The group came towards the dark brown wooden bench. Sapphire opened her small bag of food and pulled them out, handing each person their food.
"Here you go Liana" she said while handing Liana her sandwich "and M-"
Sapphire began to search all around her with a worries face
"uh guys, where is Matt?"Sapphire exclaimed, raising an eyebrow and looking around.
