Part 16: Beach Dayz Part 1

You open your eyes and look out of your window at the sunrise and then slowly sit up. You look over and see that Trent is in the driver's seat, trying to stay focused on the road.
When he sees you looking at him, he leans back in his seat and glances at you and says "look how pretty the sunrise looks.."
You smile at him and then yawn and say quietly "yeah so pretty..."
"You didn't even look!" He says when he glances and sees you still looking at him.
"I saw it when I first woke up.." You laugh
"Where are we?" You ask as you turn around and to see if anyone else is awake.
"About 30 minutes from orange beach.."
He says and slides his hand over onto your leg.
You look at him again and say quietly "so tell me how you got my parents to agree to this.."
He glances at you and then back at the road as he slides his sunglasses on and puts his hand back on your leg and smiles.
"Well... I asked very nicely, and they said no. And then I told them RK and Matt and Clay and Ashley were going... And they seemed to open up to it a little more but they still said no... And I told them how we would have separate hotel rooms.."
"And that worked??"
"Oh negative." He laughs "they still weren't convinced. So I told them I understood and left and then when I got home I called them again and said that mom and dad were coming down too..."
"TRENT!!" You say louder than you should. Randi Kathryn opens her eyes slightly and looks at you and then closes them again.
"Baby. It's gonna be fine." He says, running his hand along your thigh. "Just if they ask.. My parents were here too.."
"Trent if they find out..." You say quietly.
"(Y/n). They aren't gonna find out unless you tell them."
You look at him, trying to think of what to say next, but your breath catches in your throat as you notice just how gorgeous he is while His hand is still gently rubbing your leg. he has his hat turned around backwards and his new sunglasses on and has just the right amount of facial hair to make him look his age, and a soft smile is on his face and it grows as he notices you looking at him.
"Can I help you?" He laughs and glances at you and then back at the road.
"Nah. I'm good." You say as you continue to stare at him until he busts out laughing.
"Creep." He says as he laughs and you can't help but smile.
You look out your window again and see a sign for an ihop.
"Waffles?" You ask him quietly.
"Gah you know the way to my heart" he says and switches lanes to get ready to take the next exit. "Waffles."
You laugh and Ashley sits up in the back seat. "What's so funny, giggle butts?"
Trent looks at her in the rear view mirror and says "we are getting waffles. Wake up the rest of them."
You watch her shake clay and see him turn over and then she wakes up Matt and RK and they start putting on their shoes.
When Trent pulls up to iHop, everyone climbs out except clay and Ashley. You stick your head in the door and see Ashley trying to wake Clay up.
Finally she climbs out of the SUV and shuts the door. "He will figure it out eventually."
About 20 minutes later, clay comes running through the front door of iHop, spots y'all sitting at the table in the back corner and comes walking up.
"Guys. That's not funny."
Trent is the first to bust out laughing and says "it is. Ash tried to wake you up but you wouldn't so we decided to come on in and order."
He sits down in the chair next to Ashley and crosses his arms. She leans over and kisses him on the cheek. "I ordered you blue berry waffles."
A smile finds its way to his face as he looks at her and then leans over and kisses her.
Easy conversation finds its way around the table as everyone eats their breakfast and then gets back into the SUV. As Trent drives, he says "so we can't go to the hotel until 3, and since it's only 7 right now, I don't think they will let us in."
"Great observation" Randi Kathryn laughs and Trent shoots her a look.
"I said that to ask if y'all wanna go to the beach or what? Cuz we are only 10 minutes away."
"Finally." Ashley says from the back seat and you smile at her "I agree Ash."
Trent's hand is back on your leg and you turn it over and slide your fingers between his as Matt says "I figure these girls will wanna go shopping..."
"Nah" Ashley says "not at 7 AM.."
"For sure the beach." RK says and slips her hand into Matt's. He looks over and kisses her on the cheek. And you smile at her and then face the front.
