Poem 8: Here's to You

A/N:
Well today was my last day of school. Possibly my last day ever of regular school but I'm just like whatever at this point. Song for this poem is "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift because its how I feel. Just a warning, I'm done with shit lol and this poem really displays that and maybe even makes me seem insane but it's my venting place. Carry on.

Here's to you,

The one I fell in love with.

The one who bent down to tie my shoe.

You were my everything.

But I don't think that I was your anything.

You saved my life a couple times.

And in the end, you left me even through the rhymes.

For better or worse I had said that day.

I never thought that it wouldn't be that way.

I thought that you would be my fairytale ending.

But it seems as though you were the prequel and you sparked the beginning.

Here's to you for having a piece of me.

A piece that I gave you and can never get back.

Here's to you for not properly ending things between us and running off with a hoe.

It hurt me, you never even kissed me like that in the hallway though

Here's to you for choosing a friend who led you astray,

Over one who would put their shit aside to make your day.

Here's to you for being an amazing actor.

I thought you really did love me and that was where I falter.

Here's to you for taking all I had left.

I didn't have much, but you're responsible for that theft.

Here's to you for making me believe every word you said.

Why did you even tell me you didnt want me dead?
