"It's alright just wait and see your string of
lights is still bright to me, oh, who you are is
not where you've been. You're still an
innocent."

You gave him everything you had.

And somehow, after 2 years that still makes you sad.

During the day, you hide behind a thick mask.

But at night, hiding your shame is a much harder task.

Don't be ashamed, don't hide your face.

To me, you aren't a disgrace.

You're learning, we all make mistakes.

In life you don't really get retakes.

But to me, you're made new and whole.

I know how you feel about messing up, I'm not here to scold.

Give me your hand, I'll sit here and comfort and hold.

You lost someone you loved and you feel dirty.

But please don't hold that pain till you're 30.

To me you are innocent, young and free.

Listen up your head princess, I just want to see you be happy.

You could never do anything to make me love you may less.

Lay your head back and relax.

You're harder on yourself than you ever should be.

One day you'll meet a boy, who would wait eternity.

Your innocence is between you and God.

It's not some gift for your husband, if he thinks it is then he's quite odd.

And you deserve so much better than a man who thinks he's perfect.

You deserve the guy God has for you, hand picked.

This used to be the place where I would vent.

But now that I've found my one true love again, I must repent.

So this one is for the broken girl.

Who feels she is no longer innocent after the hand that gave her a twirl.

You made a mistake, but nothing you could ever do could separate you from God, nothing.

And that's the reason this is one of my favorite songs to sing.

It's a reminder now matter who you are,

Or how far,

You have strayed.

It's about the love that God displays.

You're an innocent to him and to me.

He's the one you get to spend time with for eternity.

Hang in there dear, it's does get better.

Hang in there dear, soon comes the warmer weather.
