A few days after the attack, and very little construction had been made in the village. Only plans had been made, and some blueprints were still being made. You would spend your free time with your best friend (B/N), after all, she was your new room mate. Her house was destroyed in the robot's rampage, and her family took refuge in a tiny cabin in the country. After a week of being stuck with her three, annoying, little brothers, your family allowed her to move in with you.

You were upstairs with your friend, listening to her talk about the cute boy she saw showing off his six-pack outside.(My friend would totally do this!!!!) You weren't paying much attention, and you heard someone knock on your front door. Your parents were home, and you could hear their footsteps walk to the door. Soon, chatter erupted and you focused back on your friend, but you would still listen to the conversation downstairs every now and then.

You had changed the conversation topic to music when your father walked in. He had a small smile on when he entered your room.

"(Y/N), there's someone in the living room who wants to speak to you." You dad sounded formal, as if a king was downstairs waiting for you.

"Alright, dad. Can (B/N) come, too?" You asked with puppy-dog eyes.

"Sorry, but no. Now, hurry. Please, don't keep him waiting."He stepped out of the doorway and walked you down the stairs quickly.

You reached the bottom stair and turned to the living room. Sitting on the red recliner was a blue robotic hedgehog. Across from him, your mother was smiling and talking about the construction of the town. Your mother noticed your presence and motioned for you to sit with her on the sofa.

Sitting down, you met eye-contact with the guest, and you were astonished by who it was. Jules the Hedgehog, father of world-famous Sonic the Hedgehog, was in your house and wanted to talk to you. You couldn't believe that he came across the sea to another continent to see you. What on Mobius could he want to see you about? He started to clear his voice. It was natural, unlike the robotic voice you thought he'd have. He also had an accent, but it was similar to yours. He talked a little slower than normal speed, so you could understand what he said.

"You must be, (Y/N). I've heard about your fighting talents on the international news. It's a pleasure to meet you." He offered his hand, and you gladly shook it. His grip was strong and cold, but you didn't care to judge. "I am proud to announce that the king has requested your help. After analyzing your abilities, personality, and devotion to helping, he believes you can give us an advantage in our current predicament. The doctor has been more secretive with his plans of attack, and our Acorn Kingdom Freedom Fighters require some assistance, at least until we foil whatever scheme he's planing."

On the outside, you looked focused on the conversation, but on the inside, you could hardly hold in your excitement. The Freedom Fighters needed your help?! They were the best of the best!! Thinking back to the conversation and your guest, you nodded your head in understanding.

"The King will cover your stay in the Acorn Kingdom, and you can bring your family. All I need is your parents permission, and a minimum of one parental figure to come with you. So, do you accept the invitation?"

Before you could give a response, your father interrupted. "There's one problem we have Jules. My wife and I are unable to go anywhere until the construction of the village in complete, and it could take months to fix everything."

That's right!! Your mother was an architect, and your father was a professor. Your dad couldn't leave until his contract allowed him to pause in his research. What now?

"Are there any other relatives or trusted adults that could come with (Y/N)?" Jules asked. You thought for a second about a solution. Most of the adults were busy with children or the reconstruction of the village. There was only one relative you could think of, and he wasted very 'trusted.'

"Her grandfather, Peter Wells, but he is a bit of a... peculiar character."Your mother stated.

Your grandpa was the stereotypical crazy scientist of your life. Every birthday you had, he would create an invention for you, and it would always result in failure. Your lack of trusting in the cute and cuddly was because of his birthday present. It was called The Flicky-Bot 1000, the best pet for any child.Sadly, the machine wasn't very friendly, and thought of you as a threat to Mobius. Best tenth birthday party ever!! Since then, you couldn't trust cute things with big eyes, and you still had a small scar on your cheek from the cold critter's claws. Not to mention, the fire department came over so much that they made him pay for their service.

"So, would you be alright with staying with your grandfather, (Y/N)?" Your dad asked. You nodded your head, and replied with a 'yes.' No matter what, you weren't going to miss the opportunity of a lifetime, but you did have one question.

"Is it alright if I bring my best friend? She won't be a problem, and she's potty-trained and knows tricks." You said, with a small giggle. Your description made Jules smile with a tiny chuckle.

"I HEARD THAT!!!!" Your friend's voice boomed from the staircase. You laughed once again, and your friend appeared from upstairs. She made her way to the couch, sat next to you, and gave you a tight hug.

"I see no problem if she behaves well." Jules answered. Your friend squealed in happiness, and she left to call her parents. "We leave early morning in four days, so call your grandfather and pack your belongings. Welcome to the team (Y/N)." Your father walked him to the door, and they went outside to talk. You rushed upstairs to start packing and call your grandfather. This was going to be AWESOME!!!
