I look good enough. Yeah this is the perfect outfit for the party. This is all good faith you look good you smell good. You're a snob on a mission.

Have fun, Live a little and most importantly make Maurice look like a total ass.

"Faith the guys are, oh my god that's your outfit?" Mya asked and I looked down at my leggings.

"What's wrong with this?" I asked with a pout.

"It's, Very casual"

"So? I think this is good for someone who's never been to a party"

"Well the boys are a little over dressed"

I put my hands in my leather jacket as I walked from around the corner.

"How over dre-oh you two look wow" I said and Zach smiled while buttoning his jacket and Maurice looked at me with a smirk.

"I wish I could say likewise baby doll"

I rolled my eyes. "I looked great thank you very much"

"You look like you threw on something you'd wear to a pep rally"

"Maybe it is, Look let's get this straight, Tonight is for two reasons. To prove a point" I started and they all mumbled yeah except Maurice who was watching me with a dull look on his face.

"And to get a scoop for my novel"

Zach looks at Maurice.

"Our novel"

Mya looks at me.

"Oh the boy decides to join me"

Zach looks at me.

"I don't think it was much of a choice"He said while tilting his head

Mya looks at Maurice.

"Wish it was, This would be solo"

Zach and Mya looks at me.

"And little miss first novel could handle writing a second book by herself when she's not even finished with the first one?"

Zach and Mya both looked at Maurice.

"You don't know what I'm capable of" I said with my arms crossed.

Zach and Mya switch gazes looking at both of us.

"I know that you're in need of a professional. Here's a tip that I learned, Have fun"

Maurice and Mya looked at me.

"Fun is for immature children who don't take their future seriously" I said realizing how much I sound just like my parents.

The tension in the room grew heavier as those words left my mouth. Mya and Zach's face was confused and Maurice just looked at me with a plain dull face expression.

"Someone's having a breakthrough" I heard Zach try to whisper.

"Well now that this weird and unusual activity is over, We should get going" Mya announced while clapping her hands together.

The whole walk across the pavement was quite. No one spoke and Maurice remained on his phone.

"You know, This silence is killing me"I heard Zach say to mya. I looked at the party in the distance and remained silent. Maybe I'll meet people who are like me. Forced to be at a party because their friends made them.
