Chapter |12|: I wouldn't exactly call it fate

"He seriously asked you out?" Mya asked then crossed her arms. "I can't even get Zach to buy me a coffee"

I brushed my hair and looked at myself in the mirror.

"I don't know, Maurice is... Odd"

She raised a eyebrow. "Odd how?"

"I don't know, It's not a bad odd, It's just like there's something about him no one knows"

"Well, Maybe tonight is a night to get to know him. This has fate written all over it"

"Fate? No I wouldn't call it that"

"Why not?" She asked seriously. "I mean think about it, You two just happen to be in charge of you know, having to make the whole book together meaning spending time together. He sucked all the dullness out of your life." She put her pointed at me. "Fate"

"Not even close " I denied as I went to open the door for Maurice who was smiling and holding a bouquet of roses.

"This is so sweet" I said taking them out of his hand and he shrugged.

"It was nothing, You ready?"

I nodded and waved bye to mya then he wrapped his arm around my waist while we walked down to a black Porsche.

"Who's car is this?" I asked amazed and shocked.

"Mine. I bought it and a few others with that book money, Not to mention" He sighed. "My mother"

"It's beautiful"

He looked at me out the corner of his eye and a smile spread across his face.

"Good"

He pressed a button on his keys and the doors slid open like wings which I guess was the whole point.

I got in as he did and within seconds we were on the road.

"Where are we going?" I asked and he looked at me.

"I thought of this really really good pizza place but. Spaghetti is my favorite. Then again I don't know what's your favorite so I don't know exactly what you want"

I laughed at how cute and adorable he's acting all of a sudden.

"Well, Spaghetti is my favorite as well, What's some other things about you I don't know?"

"Uhm my birthday is May 5, I am in love with sushi and pasta and lobster oh and my favorite colors are red and grey"

"Anything else?" I laughed.

"Well. My favorite basketball team is Miami Heat. Hobbies I do are playing video games, Basketball, Singing. Anything else?"

"No, Wow you're interesting"

He shrugged. "I would call my life everything. But interesting, That's the most boldest."

I tilted my head. "You're an interesting man Mr. Mitchell"

He smirked. "I'm a lot of things sweetheart, But it's your turn"

"Okay, Well I was born on July 17 In Virginia-"

"You serious? I was too"

I nodded my head. "That's interesting but explains so much. Oh and my favorite food is pizza and my favorite colors are blue and black"
