HUSH

Hush little sweetheart don't you cry,
Watch how fast the time goes by.
And when the timer stops too quick,
The fire burns out from the wick.
When that fire starts to chill,
     Hide away your sleeping pill.
    Never show where its placed,
and you be careful, do not leave a
     trace.
For you know if ever anyone were to
     find you,
Your dreams can never be true.

Quiet little child, rest your eyes.
So you won't see through their lies.
Friends come and go, don't you see?
Only in fairytales can you live happily.
As time stands forever so will love,
But only truth can come from above.
My time is now ending and so will
     yours,
The fountain of youth slowly dies as it
     pours.
But age is not what kills my soul.
My soul, is already black as coal.

The demons inside light up the night,
And truthfully, you would not believe
     such a sight.
If you believe, come with me,
See what has got me so lost at sea.
The rose's blood red petals are wilting
     now
But it will arise again somehow,
     And nothing lasts forever,
Except death that taunts so clever.
For now comes the time I say
     goodbye,
But hush, little child, don't you cry.
