I decided to give Lorenzo a chance, one date isn't bad right? I said as I drove to work.
He said we can go at 5, but I finish 7. I'll ask Nathaniel if I can go home early today. If he says no I'll still go.
I arrived at work and walked in being greeted by people, can you believe people still don't like me, they don't even know me,and they are judging me.
"Hey Leya" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around and saw Kenny standing there. "Why are you calling me Leya?" I asked fierce.
"Its just a nickname boo, no need to act like that" He said.
He's right, it's just a nickname. "Sorry kenny, it's just that nickname is-"
"It's fine boo" He said putting my hair behind my back. "So I'm hearing rumors that you and Mr.Grumpy pants have something going on" Kenny asked and it dropped on me like a bombshell.
"I'm just here to say, he breaks girls heart and if he hurts you, I will kick his ass" Kenny said and I felt relieved but how did he know that, where did he hear that from?
I chuckled at Kenny and nod in agreement.
"Okay now get to Mr.Grumpy." He said pushing me into the elevator. "I'm not the only who calls him that?" I snickered in the elevator.
I knocked lightly on the door and went in. "Morning Nathaniel", I said and went to my desk.
"Morning" He replied.
He's learning manners. I said in my mind, I'm shocked. "Schedule?" He asked. I opened my tablet and did a little tapping.
"You have 4 meetings back to back."
"What time do they start?" He asked. "Starting for 2" I replied.
"Okay, I'll be meeting my mother at 11, so between that time make sure I don't get disturbed" He said.
He never told me about his mother. I thought to myself. "Um Nathaniel, can I go home earlier today?" I asked.
"Why?" He asked.
Should I tell him the real reason? He wouldn't care right?
"I'm going out." I answered him hoping he would let me.
Don't ask with who, Don't ask with who. I closed my eyes hoping he doesn't ask that question.
"With who?" He asked.
"Shit" I mumbled.
"Nathaniel I'm just going out, Can I please go?" I asked frustrated.
"Fine" He said.
