It's finally the first day of classes and I am completely excited. My first class of the day being Transfiguration with Professor McGonagall.

Halfway to the classroom, Fred and George run into me. Knocking my books out of my hands, we all stopped and I glared at my two new friends. With sheepish smiles they knelt down and helped me pick up my things.

With a quick thank you and a sorry from the twins, we rushed to class. Making our way into the classroom, I saw three open seats. Grabbing one next to another Gryffindor female, we started chatting until class began.

"Hello my name is Hadley. What's your name?"

"My names Delilah and it's nice to meet you Hadley. I hope we can become great friends?"

"Definitely!"

With that we went quiet since class finally started.

After an hour of sitting in class reading about the things we would be doing this year, class finally ended.

Packing up my things, Hadley and I walked out of the classroom on our way to Potions with Professor Snape. Walking into the dungeons where the classroom was located, I started to notice the change in temperature.

Walking into the room, Snape sat at his desk watching us walk in. Taking a seat next to Hadley, we again started talking about whatever was on our minds. Fred and George sat in front of us and they too joined in our conversations.

After a couple of minutes class started. I've come to learn that I strongly dislike Professor Snape.

As the day went on, I learned so much new information on magic. Things that I didn't even know were possible!

As dinner time rolled around, I made lots of new friends, some even from other houses! One of the more unlikely friends was a girl from Slytherin by the name of Charlotte. She was far too nice to be a Slytherin but I wasn't going to question the sorting hats choice.

At the sight of dinner, I instantly filled my plate up just like the welcome feast the night before. Hadley, Fred and George looking at me with amusement clear in their faces.

George started the conversation with "If I didn't know any better..."

"I'd say that you were our little brother Ron!" finished Fred.

Hadley just watched and finally let out a giggle.

After dinner, I was completely full and decided against having dessert. Before leaving the great hall, I said goodnight to my friends from other houses and left for the Gryffindor common room.

Making my way into the common room, I hurried upstairs to the girls dorm and changed into my pajamas.

Hopping into bed, I closed the curtains and again fell into a delightful and well deserved sleep.

A/N
I've come to notice that my chapters are quite short. I wish I could make them longer, but sometimes I run out of ideas since I currently am writing the first thing that comes to my mind and editing it later. I'm sure that when this book is completed, I will go back and add a lot of new things and make it better.

Thanks for reading my book and I hope you like it!
