                Memories of Lily's life

2 years of age
Lily started showing signs of magical abilities. One day, Lily was in the living room with her four year old sister Delilah.

They were playing with Barbies, when Lily got bored and wanted something new to do. She looked around and spotted her favorite toy.

It was a hand-me-down toy, but Lily loved it all the same. It was a tiny stuffed lion that belonged to her father David. It was a gift he got from his mother his first year at Hogwarts. He was sorted into Gryffindor.

Lily went to stand up and get it, but Delilah took notice of her sisters gaze. Delilah stood up and ran to the stuffed lion. Picking it up, she ran back to Lily and mocked her with it.

"You want the lion? Come and get it Lily!"

Lily didn't try since she was too little and could never beat her sister in a race. So instead, Lily got really angry and focused all of it on Delilah.

Finally standing up, they both started running. Delilah went to make a run for the stairs but slipped on the carpet. Not noticing it, the carpet moved from under her feet making her stumble and slide. Falling, Lily's sister went down to the ground. Waddling over, Lily took the lion and walked away satisfied.

Delilah stood up crying and ran to their mother. David however stood in the kitchen and witnessed all of the events. He smiled when he knew that she had magical abilities.

7 years of age
Lily was excited to hear about the adventures of the magical world. Every weekend, when they were at least seven years old, David would take them into the wizarding world.

Delilah had told Lily stories multiple times but Lily said that they were so far fetched they just couldn't be real!

It was finally the day that Lily was able to go. She was excited and dressed in her best robes that David bought her.

"Wizards don't usually wear muggle clothing, so you should wear these!"
Those were the words David spoke when he bought the robes.

Smiling, the three family members walked over to the fireplace. Stepping in, they grabbed some powder that David called Floo Powder and dropped it on the ground. Next thing they knew, they were at a weird shopping center.

Delilah smirked at Lily's reaction.

"Now girls, this isn't Diagon Alley where we will be getting your school supplies. This is another place called Knockturn Alley."

Lily looked around the place and saw that everyone there was creepy and weird. The place itself was scary and dark. Everywhere they went in that place, was dark and creepy. The people looked at David like he was a hero. When they turned to the girls beside him however, they looked disgusted at the half-bloods.

It was pure torture and Lily just wanted to go home. This place was nothing like what Delilah explained.

After that day, Lily was scared to go on adventures with her father. He seemed to be scary just like everyone else at Knockturn Alley.
