Finally it's September 1. The day I leave for Hogwarts.
When I woke up this morning, David and my mother walked into my room with excitement shown on their faces. As I looked at them, I thought that maybe they were more excited for me to be gone than I was. I was ecstatic to be going to school, but I didn't know anybody and I was scared to see how things will go.
As my mother and David grabbed my things, I quickly got dressed into a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt not really caring how I looked. Running down the stairs, Lily rushed out of her room to see what all the fuss was about.
Halfway down the stairs, Lily caught up to me and finally questioned me.
"Sissy, why is everyone freaking out?"
"We have to leave soon. You know for me to go to Hogwarts..."
"Oh right..."
With that I bounded down the rest of the stairs and entered the kitchen. Grabbing a quick breakfast, we grabbed all of our things and headed to the car.
The car ride to the train station was anything but boring. Many questions were fired at once making sure that I had everything. After my mother asked one question, David would ask another.
After half an hour, we finally arrived at Kings Cross Station. Hobbling out of the car, I grabbed Apollo and grabbed a trolley. Bringing it over to the car, David unloaded my trunk and other things and strapped them onto the trolley. Finally placing Apollo on top we walked towards Platform 9 3/4.
Noticing Platform 9 and 10, I didn't see the platform for Hogwarts. Taking a glance at David he was looking straight at a wall. Heading towards it, David started running towards the wall. Right before he ran into the wall, he vanished through it. Looking back at my mother, she grabbed me and Lily's hands and we ran straight through the wall.
Opening my eyes, I took notice that we were at the platform. In front of me sat the Hogwarts Express. Looking around I found David with a conductor sitting my things down. Picking up Apollo, he walked over to us.
After I said goodbye to everyone, David gave me Apollo and I boarded the train. Looking around, I saw nobody I knew. I finally found an empty compartment and took a seat by the window. As the train started moving, the compartment door opened up and in walked the two red headed twins from Ollivanders.
With a slight smile, they sat down across from me. Taking a look at them, one stood out to me more than the other. After a few moments of silence, they finally held out their hands and said at the same time, "Hi I'm Fred and this is my twin brother..."
"George," the other one finished. Fred was the one that stuck out to me for some odd reason. After a moment of silence I realized they were waiting for me to say something.
"Oh... Umm... It's nice to meet you two! My name is Delilah."
"Well Delilah it's nice to meet you..." Fred said.
"We hope we can all be best friends!" George finished for Fred.
After agreeing with them, we started telling each other everything. I found out they had three older brothers, one younger brother, and a younger sister. I also found out that Fred is the older twin.
I told them that my mother was a muggle, I didn't know my father, and I had a stepdad and a sister. After what felt like many hours of talking, we finally arrived at the school. Hopping off of the train, we walked over to a giant man named Hagrid.
He led us towards some boats floating in the lake in front of Hogwarts. As I looked at Hogwarts, I noticed how beautiful it really was.
Getting into a boat with Fred and George, we slowly drifted towards Hogwarts. Halfway across the lake, Fred thought it would be a great idea to rock back and forth. The boat started to flip over when I let out a loud scream. Finally he stopped and profusely apologized.
We quickly made it to land and we walked into the main entrance of the castle. What I saw was absolutely breathtaking. I couldn't wait for the school year to officially start.
