Waking up the morning after the proposal, the atmosphere was different. It was a good different though.
I was laying on top of Fred and our legs were entwined. I looked at his face and saw how serene and peaceful he looked. Taking my fingers I outlined his facial features. After a while, Fred woke up and looked up at me. His brown eyes held admiration.
Smiling down at him I rolled off of him onto my side of the bed.
"Good morning darling, how did you sleep!"
"Quite well Delilah. I have a question for you—"
"Shoot!"
"Do you think that we might be too young to be getting married?"
"I guess we are, we are only eighteen about to be nineteen... So maybe? But I guess all that matters is that we truly love each other."
Looking deep into my blue eyes, Fred grabbed my small hand and kissed it. I wanted to wake up like this every morning. From now to eternity.
After laying in bed for a couple more minutes, Fred stood up and walked over to the bathroom door.
"Delilah, would you like to join me in the shower?"
"Nah, I'll pass for now. Maybe later?"
With a small pout, he walked into the bathroom and closed the door. Giggling, I got out of bed and started cleaning the room.
Grabbing some clean clothes, I laid them on my nightstand. Looking at the dirty and untidy bed, I took off the sheets and placed them outside the bedroom door. Walking into the bedroom again, I saw Fred sitting on the chair next to the bed.
His red hair was dripping water everywhere but that didn't seem to bother him. Grabbing my clothes, I walked into the bathroom. Before closing the door, I looked at Fred and gave a small wink.
He stood up and started walking towards me, but I closed the door on his face. Locking it with a spell so he couldn't come in, I hopped into the shower.
Letting out a content sigh, I let the water relax my taut muscles. After a long shower, I got out and changed into my clothes. Walking out of the bathroom, Fred was making the bed with some new sheets the maid gave us.
Grabbing another corner, I helped him put the sheets on the king sized bed. Once the bed was made, Fred walked over to me and grabbed my hand.
"How about we go sightseeing? If you know what I mean..."
Ignoring the last part, I nodded my head and grabbed my room key. Dragging him out of the hotel room, we made our way down to the streets.
Just going for a simple walk was very fun and refreshing. I almost forgot about the war that was coming up soon. I also forgot about Harry's letters of urgency. He was forced to take a class so he wouldn't let Voldemort enter his mind. It was quite shocking to hear that Snape, a known ex-death eater, was his teacher.
Hurrying down the street, hand in hand with Fred, we entered a tiny coffee shop. Fred walked up to the counter and gave the barista our orders and we went to go sit down.
After a couple of minutes, our orders sat in front of us and we continued talking about the details of our wedding. Our main problem was telling Mrs. Weasley about our engagement. The next problem was planning a wedding within a month. It was going to be hectic!
After a couple of days, we were ready to leave and go back home. Again, we were going to do things the muggle way. Going through the airport, we went through security without a problem. Sitting down in the plane, we were stuck sitting next to an elderly woman.
