The next morning I woke up an hour earlier than I wanted. It was currently 6 in the morning and I had nothing to do. Not being able to go back to sleep, I got out of bed and walked into the common room.

Taking a seat on the plush red sofa, I decided to write a letter to my family. Grabbing a piece of parchment off of a desk, I grabbed a quill and started writing.

Dear Mother and Father (and Lily),
I am very happy with being here at Hogwarts. I have been sorted into Gryffindor and have made many new friends. One being a Slytherin!

As the past couple of days have gone by, I've come to notice that I'm missing you guys. Even Lily which is quite surprising! But I can't wait until the holidays so I can come home and see you guys.

With much love, Delilah

P.S
Remember those twins at Ollivanders? They are my best friends. They are Fred and George Weasley, quite the pranksters they are! Love you!

Finally finishing my short letter, I call for Apollo and hand her my letter. She flies off into the distance until I can't see her anymore.

Looking at the time I decide it's time for me to start getting ready. Heading into the dormitory, I see that all the other girls are awake. Grabbing my robes and other necessities, I head into the girls bathroom and get ready.

After all of my classes have finished for the day, I had a free period. Meeting with Fred and George, we walked out into the courtyard. After a long period of silence, they finally started talking about a game called Quidditch.

"You see the school has a Quidditch team for each house," started Fred.

"But you see first years aren't aloud! It's ridiculous!" finished George.

I finally questioned them with, "Are you guys going to play next year?"

Noticing the smiles on their faces, they didn't have to answer for me to know the answer was yes. After they told me everything about Quidditch, I noticed our free period was over and it was time for dinner. On the way to the great hall I heard Fred and George whispering.

"I bet you ten galleons that she's going to stuff herself full and not have dessert again tonight!"

"Deal."

With that I smirked and ignored them during dinner.

Sitting next to Hadley, I told her about Fred and George's bet. She smirked and looked down the table at them. They were sitting with Lee Jordan, another Gryffindor in our year. Once I took a look at them I saw them looking at me. With a tiny wave and smile they gave me an odd look. Before they went back to eating, I gave them the I'm-watching-you-two-look.

With them catching on, they gave a sheepish smile and their faces were bright red. They looked away and continued eating. After stuffing myself full, I saw the dessert and decided, oh whetever I'll take a little bit anyways.

Grabbing two scoops of chocolate pudding and a treacle tart, I stuffed my face full again. Looking towards Fred and George, I saw Fred give George ten galleons. They caught me staring and I rolled my eyes at them.

Standing up from the dinner table, Hadley and I walked back to the Gryffindor common room. Outside in the corridor, Fred and George caught up to us and we're profusely apologizing for making a bet over how much I ate.

With a little laugh, I accepted their apology and said that it was quite funny to see Fred's face when he lost the bet. Walking into the common room we finished our homework and then walked up to our dorms.

After taking a shower, I finally crawled into bed and fell asleep.
