Walking into the living room, I took into account that Sirius was upset and Lily was just as lost as I was. Sitting on the couch next to Lily, Sirius finally told us what was happening.

"Girls, I know this will be hard to understand, but your mother... Well... She was found dead this morning."

I was in complete shock. I didn't know how to react to anything! Turning to Lily I saw a single tear drop fall from her beautiful face that resembled my mothers. Looking back at Sirius, I saw him open his mouth to say something else.

"Their is something else that you two should know about. Well Lily your father, David, he was found guilty of your mothers death. He was absolutely mental when he was found. They rolled up his sleeve and found a dark mark branded into his arm. After the discovery, he was sent to Azkaban waiting for his trial. I'm so sorry..."

With those words, Lily burst into tears and left the room. Still in shock, I didn't notice the single tear that fell down my face. Looking up at my father, I saw the sadness and love he had for my mother.

"When will her funeral be?"

With a grim look he answered slowly, "Their is no funeral... Her body was too mangled to be able to hold a real funeral."

At those words, I got up from my seat and ran towards my room. The shock slowly went away, and instead anger and misery appeared. Running into my room, I slammed the door shut and locked it. Launching myself onto my bed, I let sleep consume my exhausted worn out body.

I was 14 when I found my mother and David having their first argument. It was something about a tattoo of a snake and a skull on his arm. David was angry and manipulative. He hexed my mother and used one of the unforgivable curses on her.

My mother, so beautiful and frail, lashed out on the wooden floorboards of her bedroom. Her screams and shrieks were heard throughout the house. Finally, David released the spell and Obliviated her.

Luckily, I was the only child in the house that night since Lily was visiting grandma and grandpa.

After a couple moments of silence, I heard footsteps come towards the door that was cracked open. The door flew open and their in front of me stood David. He was furious!

I screamed and tried running away. I ran down the stairs until a hex hit me square in the back. I fell down the stairs until a loud crack was heard. That crack was my head.

I woke up in the hospital two weeks later. I had no idea what happened.

Looking at David who sat in the chair beside my bed, he had a fire in his eye. Something I've never seen before. Looking at me, he took into account my look of uncertainty. I was confused as to why I was in the hospital.

David answered me with four words.

"You fell down the steps..."

After those words I remembered everything that actually happened. Not wanting to set David off again, I pretended I didn't know, and let the matter go.

Waking up from the memory of the first time David hurt someone, I knew that he was truly a demon. I cried in my pillow for my dead mother and for my sister, who lost both of her parents while I still had one.

Hearing a small creak from my door, I saw it open and in walked Lily. She tiptoed over to my bed and climbed in next to me. I may have been 17, but I loved Lily and we needed each other. We could grieve together.

The next morning, I woke up around noon. Looking to the side of me, I saw the figure who was cuddled up against my side. Giving a small smile, I climbed out of bed and looked in my mirror.

My hair was a mess and I had bags under my eyes. My eyes were also puffy and red from crying. Using the spell I used the other day, everything looked normal. Or at least as normal as I could look.

Walking downstairs, I heard small talk coming from the kitchen. Walking in, I saw Fred and George, along with Sirius and Mrs. Weasley. When they finally saw me, Sirius excused himself from the room. Mrs. Weasley made me sit down and eat while Fred and George just looked at me with sympathy.

A minute after Sirius left, he returned with a small sheet of paper. Handing it to me, I read the paper with a small smile coming onto my face.

We will be having a small get together tomorrow at noon to appreciate everything Margaret Thornberry has done.

Please except these invitations and invite whoever you please.

Cornelius Fudge
Minister of Magic

Even though my mother was a muggle, everyone knew her. She was amazing and loved by everyone she met.

Smiling at all the good memories we had I remembered my favorite one.

It was the summer after my first year at Hogwarts and I had just come home. My mother told me that I would be going camping. Just her, Lily, and me. I was more than excited! It was going to be just the girls.

After a couple of hours, we were finally at the campground and it was amazing. The lake was beautiful and I could go swimming whenever I wanted to.

Putting up our tent, I climbed inside ready for the day to be over. During the night, the wind started picking up and it started pouring down raining.

Running outside the tent, my mother let out a humorless chuckle.

"Of course this would happen to me!"

After the words left her mouth, the tent flew away with the wind. After a couple of minutes, my mother finally let out a laugh. It was a laugh that echoed around the entire campground.

Looking back, I know I'm gonna miss her laugh. All the good times we shared ended with us all laughing. Now it has all come to an end, all because of the man I called father for so many years. It was all David's fault! I would never forgive him the next time I saw him. He was a sadist and completely evil.

No wonder he followed in the footsteps of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. They were both pure evil.

David was a sign that a war was beginning to brew. When it does, I want to be the one to kill him.
