An hour later, I was woken up by my mother who announced our arrival at my grandparents house.
As I was taken out of my car seat, I looked around at the nice big house. As we got closer to the door I started feeling my mother shake.
It was the first time she's seen and talked to her parents since she told them she was pregnant. Even though she looked calm on the outside, she was freaking out on the inside. As the door started opening, my mother looked down at me with a small smile and I smiled back.
I heard a small gasp and my head turned to look at the door. In the doorway stood my grandmother who seemed shocked to see my mother standing in front of her. My grandmother quickly turned around and yelled back for my grandfather. He came to the door as quickly as possible and looked at my mother with a small smile on his face.
My mother finally came to her senses and told her parents how sorry she was for ignoring them during her pregnancy. Of course that didn't stop her parents from crying and going into a hug with me in the center. As the temperature started getting warmer from the body heat, I felt like I needed to sneeze.
As soon as the little noise escaped from me, the hug stopped and my grandparents looked down at me. They looked back up at my mother and then they smiled and grabbed me. I was in shock to say the least. Never have I gotten this much attention in one day. I'm meeting new people that I'm related to and I don't even really know them. We entered the home after standing outside for a long time to notice that it was huge.
As we walked through the house that went on forever, my eyes started getting droopy again. My grandmother passed me back to my mother after I was completely out.
As I was sleeping, my mother rocked me back and forth slowly so as not to wake me while she told the story of why we left the flat. My grandparents listened and accepted my mother and I back into the family and said that we could stay as long as we would like and even live there if we pleased.
My mother accepted the offer and asked my grandparents to watch over me as she went back to the flat and got our things.
The next morning, I awoke next to my grandfather on the sofa. As he slept, I looked around the giant living room. I noticed lots of pictures of my mother when she was little taking up most of the walls. As time went on and the house was still quiet, I was getting tired of doing nothing. I wanted to move as I haven't done much of that in the past couple of hours.
I looked around again finding a whole bunch of pillows on the other couches in the room. As I concentrated, I saw the pillows float in the air and come towards me. They fell on the floor slowly and I rolled over until I fell off the couch onto the pillows. With a soft thud, I crawled off the pillows and roamed around the room.
A couple minutes after looking around, I became bored and hungry. I quickly took to crying as loud as I could. With loud quick footsteps my grandfather found me in a corner of the dining room. He picked me up and carried me to the kitchen, quickly picking up on the fact that I was hungry.
He looked through a bag of groceries sitting on the counter and pulled out a bag of strawberries. As I watched him cut up the strawberries, my mother walked into the room. She looked like she got a good nights sleep for once and was ready to get on with the day. She grabbed the cut up strawberries and brought them over to me.
After I was fed, my mother took me upstairs and showed me to my new bedroom. Let's just put it this way, it was the best nursery I've ever seen in my entire 8 months of living.
