Chapter 19

It was the last day of school and I couldn't believe it. It went by so fast and I wanted to stay forever.

Walking into the great hall for the end of the year feast, I saw the Slytherin banners hanging up. It made me want to vomit. I mean yeah I had a friend in Slytherin, but all the other Slytherins were cruel and vile.

After everyone was sat in the great hall at their tables, Headmaster Dumbledore stood from his seat.

"This year has ended. It is quite sad to be leaving our friends behind, but know that you will be coming back next year. Seventh years, good luck on your journey for work! And if you ever need anything, help will always be given at Hogwarts for those who need it.

With those words said, I would like to award the house cup to Slytherin. In second place we have Gryffindor who would've won, if they didn't lose points this morning for a prank."

Saying that, he stared right at me and the Weasley twins and our faces became bright red.

"With all that said, let the feast begin!"

At his words, the food appeared and I, like always, stuffed my plate full of the foods. Eating my food slowly this time, I enjoy my food and didn't stuff myself. Finally getting to dessert, I grabbed my chocolate pudding and ate it. Finally being stuffed, I stood up from the table. After this year, I think I may have gained 100 pounds.

Waddling my way up to the common room, I collapsed onto my bed. Closing my eyes, I realized that it would be my last time sleeping in this bed until next year. Even then I wouldn't be sleeping in this same bed. Groaning from my stomach pain, I finally fell asleep.

Waking up the next morning, I didn't want to get out of bed. It was everyone's last day and I couldn't believe this year flew by so fast.

Making my way to the Hogsmeade train station, I saw the magnificent Hogwarts Express. Hopping onto the train with Apollo in her cage, we found an empty compartment. Waiting for the others to come, I patiently waited. Finally they boarded and sat down.

The way home was full of fun games and talking. After a couple of hours, we arrived at Kings Cross and exited off the train. Grabbing my luggage, I looked through the crowd until I spotted David's dark brown hair.

Turning to my friends, I hugged them and said goodbye. Walking towards David and my mother, Lily saw me first. Letting go of my mothers hand, Lily ran to hug me. Dropping my things and carefully sitting down Apollo, I picked up my nine year old sister. I was twelve now, but her birthday was in October so she was still nine.

Putting her down, I saw David and my mother walk over to me. David grabbed my trunk while my mother grabbed Apollo, and I grabbed Lily's hand. We walked out of Kings Cross and went to the car. Putting my things in the trunk, we finally buckled up and I was on my way home.

Half an hour of driving later, I was home and my summer could officially start.

Delilah's first year is officially over. Now the next chapter their is going to be a giant jump in time. Delilah will be in her seventh and final year at Hogwarts, while Lily will be in her fifth year with the golden trio.
