A couple months after the discovery of David being a wizard, my mother and David finally decided on a date for their wedding. The day after the argument a few months back, my mother apologized to David and we lived like a happy family.

As time has gone by, my mother and David finally remembered that they had to plan their wedding and chose the perfect date for a wedding. December 24, Christmas Eve.

After they chose the date, they picked out a place for their honeymoon and decided on The Bahamas. After much debating with my grandparents, they finally agreed that it would be best if I stayed with my grandparents.

A week before the wedding, my mother was extremely stressed and grumpy. She was rushing around to make sure everything was perfect since she never did marry my father. She wanted the best wedding in the history of weddings.

The day before the wedding was the worst day. My mother was confined to her room to make sure she wasn't stressing out too much.  As the hours went by, I started to get bored and couldn't wait for the day to be over. It was the first time in months I haven't spent time with my mother. While nobody was watching, I walked over to the bedroom door and unlocked it.

As the door opened, I saw my mother sitting on a chair in the corner of the room reading. As she saw me walk in, she stood up and walked over to me. Picking me up, she carried me over to the chair.

Since it was very late in the day, my mother saw that it was about time for me to go to bed. She grabbed a book sitting on her bookshelf and read me my favorite story, Cinderella. As she read, I fell into a happy sleep filled with good dreams of what would be happening the next day.

The next morning, I woke up next to my mother on her bed. She looked so peaceful laying there. I didn't want to wake her up since it was her big day so I got out of the bed and tiptoed to the door. Opening the door slowly, I looked around the hallway and saw nothing. I walked out and closed the door silently. As I walked down the hall, I heard talking coming from outside. I walked out and took notice of the large tent and my grandparents and other family members. Walking towards my grandmother, she saw me quickly and picked me up. She looked at my clothes from the night before and my messy face and hair. She frowned at my appearance and took me inside towards my room.

As she entered, she saw clothes laying out on my bed and my mother standing in my closet looking for nice shoes to match the dress. My grandmother grunted at my mother to get her attention. As she did so, my mother turned around and jumped making a loud scream.

"Mother what are you doing in here? You scared me!"

"I was going to take care of my granddaughter since I figured you were getting ready. I mean your wedding is in three hours."

"Is it really? I better be getting ready then. By the way, are my bridesmaids here?"

"Yes dear. Everyone is outside already."

With an ok from my mother, she left my grandmother to get me ready.

A couple hours later, the wedding has started and David and my mother have started the vows. With the vows over they have moved on to the best part, the "I do's".

The pastor started, "David, do you take Margaret Marie Thornberry to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health?"

"I do."

"And do you Margaret, take David Eugene Arrington, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health?"

"I do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife."
