Chapter Thirty

I watch him walk away from me.

"Don't leave!" I begged.

"Please, don't leave me!" I shouted.

The pain I'm feeling while looking at him is like my heart wants to get out of my chest. I looked at my hand and I think I just saw my own heart – burning...

I watch him walk away until he's gone. I looked at my own heart – it turned into ashes. My tears are falling like the water falls. I want to jump off the cliff and die for the pain to end. My hand formed into a fist. He's gone. He left me. I am all alone...wrecked.

"Jiezel..."

I searched for the voice who called my name. I looked around and all I can see is pitch black. Nothing but black.

"Jiezel!"

My eyes flicked open when I felt someone slapped my gorgeous face! Who the hell–

"Hey, baby..."

I looked at Jake. Kumunot ang noo ko. He looks so worried and...scared?

"Why?" I asked.

"You're crying." He said.

Kumunot lalo ang noo ko at dinama ko ang aking muka gamit ang kamay ko. Bumangon ako at umupo sa kama. What just happened?

"I was cooking breakfast then I heard you shouting. Tapos pag dating ko dito sa kwarto umuungol at umiiyak ka." Paliwanag niya at hinawakan ang pisngi ko.

I sighed. It was just a dream...a dream. Humawak ako sa dibdib ko at dinama ko ang puso ko. Sobrang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. Hinihingal ako.

"What's wrong? Anong napanaginipan mo?" Malumanay niyang tanong.

I stared at him. Hinila ko siya palapit sakin at niyakap siya ng mahigpit. Mariin kong pinikit ang mata ko. Why am I still hurting? It was a dream but it felt so fucking real. The guy in my dream...I don't know if it was Jake. He's...I can't remember.

"Sumisigaw ka na wag kang iwan. Baby is there something you're not telling me?" He asked while rubbing my back.

Is there something I'm not telling him? Meron ba? Hindi ko pa nakukwento sakaniya ang buong storya namin ng first love ko. Pero he knows – I think – that my first love left me.

I shook my head. "It was just a very very sad dream."

Humiwalay ako sa yakap. He held my face with his hands. He kissed my forehead. Hinalik halikan niya ako sa noo pababa sa ilong. Nakapikit lang ang mata ko habang ginagawa niya yon. I love this feeling. It's so sweet and romantic. Then he kissed me on my lips and I responded.

He let go. I opened my eyes and found him staring intently at me. His eyes are piercing through me like he's reading me.

"Remember what I told you? If you won't give me a reason to leave. I won't leave. I'll stay with you." Sabi niya at marahang hinaplos ang muka ko.

"Damn!" Bahagya ko siyang tinulak at lumayo ako sakaniya.

Kumunot ang noo niya. "Jiezel..."

Oh my fucking gosh. No! Oh hell no! No! No! I can't fall for him. Oh please no...please no. I don't want to.

I realized that I'm only wearing his shirt and his boxer shorts. Oh yeah, we had sex yesterday when we got here in his unit.

Tumayo siya sakaniyang pagkaka-upo at lumapit sakin. Napaatras ako. Nagulat siya at bahagyang kumunot ang noo niya.
