Chapter Fifty-one

I love him. Love. Fucking love. Again.

Being in love with him scares the living shit inside me. I'm scared that one day he'll leave me. One day he'll get bored. One day he'll choose Megan. What if...what if he found out that I love him? Would he leave? But he said he likes me.

"Babe, you're not listening to me again."

Napalingon ako kay Jake.

"Ha?"

He sighed and shook his head.

"After we went to the Pandas, bigla ka nalang nag space out. Is there a problem?" Tanong niya.

There are a lot of problems Jake. But instead of saying the truth, I shook my head and smiled.

"Nothing, I'm just tired." Sabi ko.

Inakbayan niya ako at hinilig ang ulo ko sa dibdib niya. He kissed my forehead. I bit my lower lip. I really do love this guy.

"Take a rest. Gigisingin kita kapag mag lalanding na ang eroplano." Sabi niya.

I sighed. "Okay." I said and closed my eyes.

I want it to be like this. Always like this. Him...me...together... Not minding other things. Just us.

"Babe."

"Hm?"

"Balik ulit tayo dito sa China." Sabi niya.

I smiled. "Okay."

"Promise?" He asked.

"Promise." I said.

He kissed my temple. "I want to go back in China with you. I think China would be our very special place." He said.

I bit my lower lip. My heart is beating so fast. I am really in love with him. I don't like it. I'm hurting everytime I think of Megan. I'm hurting too everytime I think that I'm in love with my cousin's boyfriend. I'm hurting because even though it's already excruciating, I am still here. I'm still with him. I can just go to Japan and move on. Napaka daling sabihin. Pero ang hirap-hirap gawin. I'm happy that I found out what's my true feelings for him. But I'm in so much pain because my love for him is so wrong.

I just closed my eyes. Hindi naman ako nakatulog. When the plane landed, umayos na kami. Then when we went out of the plane sinabi ko sakaniyang kay Kathlyn ako dederetso. At first he hesitated kasi gusto niyang mag pahinga muna ako. Pero wala naman siyang nagawa, in the end hinatid niya ako kay Kath. Pero syempre nag bihis ako ulit non. Umuwi muna ako. Then we went to Kathlyn's house. Pinapunta ko nga din si Mace. Nauna pa nga siya sakin doon. I have a lot of things to say to my best friends.

"Tawagan mo ko kapag mag papasundo ka." Jake said before I can get out of his car.

I looked at him. Oh Jake... Why are you like that? Sumasakit ang puso ko. Literally.

"Okay. Ingat sa pag drive." Sabi ko.

He smiled. "See you later, babe." He said.

I nodded and smiled then went out of his car. Hinintay niya akong makapasok sa bahay ni Kath. I saw Kathlyn and Mace near the window. Tinaasan ko sila ng isang kilay.

"Wow." Sabi nilang dalawa.

Pagka-sara ko ng pintuan ng bahay ni Kath ay doon na ako napahagulgol. Lahat ng inipon kong luha mula sa airport sa Guangzhou ay lumabas lahat ngayon. Nag madali silang lumapit sakin. I found myself sitting on the couch while hugging my girls.

"Jie...anong nangyari?" Tanong ni Kath nang bumitaw na ako sa yakap.

"I love him." I said while wiping my tears.
