I woke up to find no one snoring next to me. I got up, stretched, and walked to the bathroom door. I knocked.
Nothing.
I walked out into the hallway and looked in both directions.
Still nothing.
"Where is everyone?"
I walked over to Zayn's room and slowly opened the door.
He wasn't there.
I walked over to Liam's room.
He wasn't there.
I walked to Niall and Louis's room the shared.
They weren't there.
I walked into the living room as stopped in my tracks.
I saw a tall man. he had brown hair spiked up perfectly. a chiseled jaw with a dimple on his chin. he had pale green eyes. they didn't glow.
"Hello love." the strange man smiled. he had perfect teeth.
"Who are you?"
"No one special." he answered.
"You have a name don't you?"
"Alexander." he answered sternly.
"Let me guess, vampire?"
"Smart one." Alexander smirked.
He seemed like the typical American business man. young, attractive, and a great sense of style. he wore a black suit with a maroon tie. his chest seemed like it was ready to burst out of his shirt.
"So what's your power?" I asked sitting down next to him. I don't know why I was completely comfortable with him being here. felt right.
"I can make and control fire." Alexander said.
"Cool."
He opened his palm and a small fireball appeared in his hand. it turned purple, blue, and green. he closed his fist and looked back at me.
"That's cool."
"Really? a lot of humans are afraid of me." Alexander said holding his head down.
"Well they don't know something awesome when they see it."
"Thanks." Alexander said smiling.
Jus then, we heard a scream coming from Aly's room.
"What was that?" Alexander shot up from his seat in surprise.
"My friend Aly."
"She's being turned isn't she?" Alexander asked grabbing my shoulders.
"Yeah."
"You do know that I could report you to council and have you both killed." Alexander said sternly.
"You wouldn't. please don't."
"Don't worry, I'm don't like to get people in trouble. I normally just hang around." Alexander said putting his hands back at his sides.
"Wait, what clan?"
"Mortem."
"Tell me why you're here."
"I know the boys well. since they know I won't snitch and I don't like some others in my clan, they wanted me here to protect you." Alexander said.
"Well okay then, what are we gonna do now Alexander?"
"Alex." he answered smirking.

Alexander had taken off his suit jacket to reveal a plain white dress shirt. his toned chest was something to imagine.
"Left hand blue."
"No fair! I'm all the way over here!" Alex shouted over at me.
"Then you lose."
Alex pulled me from my spot on the play mat and I fell on top of him.
I quickly placed my knees on both sides of his hips and pinned his arms to the mat.
"You lost." I whispered.
I started to get up when I felt his hand on my waist. he forced me back down on to him. our hips made deep contact an I let out a whimper of pain. he was pressing down too hard on my hipbone, his eyes glowed brighter than a full moon.
He removed one hand and put it at the back of my neck and pulled me down so that I laid on him. he started kissing my neck softly, but it soon got heated.
I let out a small moan when I felt his fangs graze over the sensitive area. I could feel him smirking when he heard another moan, but louder.
I don't know why, but I wanted him.
"I wonder what Harry has done to you." Alex whispered seductively while still kissing my neck.
"Nothing." I choked out.
"Really? I want to be the first." Alex said. he stopped kissing my neck and looked into my eyes. when I looked into his, they shimmered.
All I could do was stare. I felt his hand slide to my lower back. he leaned in and kissed me.
It was so sweet and gentle.
I heard another scream and pulled away from Alex.
"She's fine." Alex mumbled and pulled me back in. I pulled away again.
"No she's not. something doesn't feel right." I stood up and rushed to Aly's room. my stomach was turning and he head started thumping. that only happens when Aly isn't ok. it's weird but it's part of instinct.
I stormed down the hallway with Alex following behind.
I barged into her bedroom to find her on the floor clenching in pain.
"Aly, tell me what hurts." I say rushing by her side.
I sat next to her and held her hand.
"Everything." she whispered under her breath.
"What can we do?"
"There's no hospital in the world that can treat this. venom can spread in 2 ways. it can turn her, or kill her." Alex said staring directly into my eyes. then on Aly.
"No! that's not going to happen."
"You can't stop it."
"You don't know that."
"Yes I do."
"How then! tell me how am I suppose to live with knowing my entire reason for vein alive died and I couldn't do anything about it. If she dies, then I do to."
Things went silent as Alex and I were both thinking of something to help.
"How long before it kills her."
"We have less than an hour." Alex answered staring at the floor.
A tear ran down me cheek as I bravely stood up.
"Aly told me this years ago."
I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a knife out of a drawer.
"What are you doing?!" Alex shouted as he reached for the knife. I was too quick and jumped back.
"She was reading a mythology book, a chapter was about vampires. She told me that if the venom was attacking a persons system while being turned. Blood can steady it out."
I closed my eyes tightly and slid the knife across my arm. blood started dripping fast.
Alex's eyes went wide as his jaw clenched.
"Control yourself." I said to Alex walking to a cabinet and searched for a cup.
When I found one, I quickly dropped some blood into it and wrapped up my arm with a paper towel.
I ran back to Aly's room and dropped back down beside her.
"Drink this."
She gulped down the liquid and her breathing began to slow down. her pain washed away. and she relaxed.
Alex laid her back in her bed and she fell fast asleep.
"I didn't expect you to do that." Alex said raising his eyebrows.
"Do what?"
"Save her."
