Their trance was broken by the ring of nandini's phone. While nandini separated herself from manik to attend the call, manik stood there

catching up with the moment which just passed and the kiss...manik had kissed other girls before, but his heart told him, "This was different dude!! I never felt this way before, trust me" and manik smiled sheepishly pressing his lips at his heart's confession and muttered " aah this feeling!! Nandiniii" although he intended it to be a self talk but nandini thought he was calling her , so while on the call she raised her eyebrows as if asking "what", he quickly shook his head as if saying "nothing". He heard her saying " no bhai, ask amma appa to sleep, I will be late" , "hmmm", "ok" and then she hung up.
Manik came to her and asked " any problem?" she smiled and said " no , bhai, just wanted to know if they should wait for me or sleep, so asked them to sleep as I will be late" manik moved forward and pulled the chair and asked her to sit. Manik said " it's time for dinner , wait here , I'll be back in a minute" and he moved outside while nandini sat there reminiscing the kiss and chuckled slightly remembering manik's cuteness, just then manik came back and asked "what's so funny?" and sat on the chair opposite her. Nandini just shook her head and smilingly said "nothing". Manik noticed that she is blushing too, he wanted to enquire further but just then the waiters arrived with the food as manik had ordered them. First they brought the appetizers and MaNan started eating them in silence looking at each other every now and then.
After sometime dinner arrived and as was obvious , every dish was from nandini's favourite list. Nandini happily had all of them and soon the dinner was over. Nandini was waiting for the desert and manik sensed it , he spoke with a little feeling of guilt " nandini , I have not ordered the desert yet, because I did not know what's your favourite, so I thought first I will ask you and then order, so tell me plz" nandini smiled at him and said " good that you didn't, we will go and have desert from my fav spot, let's go" she said enthusiastically. Manik wanted to spend some more time with her , so he said " so soon?" making a puppy face.
Nandini chuckled and said " manik we are not going home" and he laughed at his stupidity. So they headed out and soon were in the car. Manik was driving holding nandini's hand and she was directing him the way to her fav desert spot. Soon they reached and manik saw it was Baskin & Robbins and he understood that ice cream is nandini's fav desert. But now the problem was will manik go inside or nandini? They were discussing this. Nandini said " manik u should not go it's crowded and it may create a scene" manik replied thoughtfully " hmm u r right , so u go, I will wait here" but there was another problem . Nandini voiced her concern " manik my dress, it's too revealing, I had dressed up for u , but I can't go out in public like this , it's too revealing" manik smiled and teased her " so u wore this dress especially for me? Why? R u trying to seduce me??"
nandini blushed as this was the exact reason but she denied him and said " no, actually I wanted to show all of my colours to you before we get married " and she winked at him and he laughed " and I m loving it" he continued " ok listen, I have a solution, wear my coat and bring the ice cream , we will have it sitting in the car , ok?" nandini replied " yeah this is a good idea" manik left her hand and took off his coat.

Nandini put on his coat and her upper body was well covered now as she had worn an off-shoulder deep back dress. She looked at herself and then manik for assurance. He smiled and said " go and come back fast" she got off the car and quickly went towards the outlet. People looked at her like she is a zombie because she was wearing manik's coat which hung over her slim body frame. She ignored the looks and grabbing her flavours came back to the car quickly.
As she sat , she passed manik's fav flavour to him and started having hers and said " umm it's so yummy. Did u like it?" manik answered " yeah it's tasty" because of the ice cream a layer was formed above nandini's upper lip, she was eating like a kid. Manik was adoring her, he noticed the ice cream on her lips and he moved his finger towards her lip. Nandini raised her eyebrow asking "what" he ignored her and wiped the ice cream off her lips , ever so seductively, rubbing his finger over her lip. Nandini was blushing and her heartbeat increased with his mere touch, what he did next , surprised her. He licked his finger which had the little ice-cream off her lips. While doing this he was looking intensely into her eyes. She turned crimson red and looked down understanding his meaning.
( The way he licked his finger suggested that he would like to do the same with her lips, this piece of information was for my innocent readers who don't understand the ways of manik..:-P)
After spending good time, manik dropped nandini home. Before getting out she was taking off his coat but he asked her to keep it as a token of today's date. She said "ok" and was ready to get off but he called her " nandini"she turned back and he moved forward and kissed her cheek and said " this was the best day of my life till this point of time, thank u,... now u can go" and he smiled . she too moved forward and kissed his cheek and said " mine too" and quickly got off the car and ran towards main door of her house . manik kept looking till she went inside. Smile was not leaving both their faces. SURELY THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BEGINNING.
In arranged marriage, u just know the person enough to decide that u can spend ur life with them. Same was the case with manik and nandini. In the past few days , they have known each other that much that they r sure that the relationship will last forever. But the real discovery of each other happens only after marriage when u live under the same roof 24*7. How u deal with the situations after marriage individually as well as a couple, shapes up the marriage.
