Harry - ”Babe, babe, babe,” you shot up in bed, limbs stiffening until you curled them enough, scrunching up, palming your belly and wriggling the swollen skin out of your shirt, “babe, Harry, Harry, get in here!”
"What?" He bolted up the stairs. You heard his legs skid on the hardwood, flicker of the bedroom door as he nudged it open hurriedly, "(Y/N), is it the baby?" He made it to the bed, and settled all scatterbrained next to you, panicky eyes searching yours. He took your cheek in one hand.
"Feel," you smiled, grabbing his hand in yours to press it down to your stomach, "the baby," you beamed, "he just kicked, feel it." You stilled your body, waiting a few moments for another dull kick, a little bump under Harry’s warm palm, buzzing excitedly over your skin, "our baby kicked," he murmured quietly, swallowing before he looked up swollen into your eyes, "our baby just kicked, our… our little man… our little man, babe, he just kicked!"
Liam - he dropped his bag by feet scuffing, reaching out enough to hold you in the airport, curving himself back a little to accomodate your swollen stomach, “I missed you so much,” he murmured across your hairline, kissing in dotted sections.
"We missed you too," you smiled up, threading fingers with his hand by your legs, hung down and limp, squeezing when you were holding one another completely.
"How’s she been today?" He knelt down in front of you, carefully pressing into your belly.
"Good," you smiled down, "she’s been kicking."
"What?" He snapped his head up, lips quivering in the silence, "k-kicking?" He smiled, wider, looking again at your belly and holding the half-moon gingerly, "gonna kick for daddy, can you kick for daddy, hey? Babe…" he stopped, "she just…" he looked up, holding closer, "she just kicked, my little girl just kicked!"
Louis - ”Hang on, hang on,” he hovered over you, lain down in bed together, his hand almost clenching, tan skin sliding under and over light made by the full moon outside, “hold still, babe, maybe he’ll do it again…” his tongue flicked out quickly with the words.
"Lou," you giggled, "I can’t make him kick again…"
"Yes, you can, just concentrate," he grinned, flickering eyes that didn’t leave your bare stomach, "come on, little man, kick for daddy?"
"Lou…"
"Wait," he pressed his hand tighter, rolling like a ball over the smooth mound of skin, "did you… did you feel that, babe?"
"Yeah," you breathed, sitting up further, watching his smile like a child’s glow.
"I just felt our baby kick," he made his eyes over to yours eventually, "I just felt our baby kick."
Zayn - ”Zayn,” you stopped in the middle of the street, “Zayn, wait,” you clung to his wrist, as he turned, ushering you over to the window of a small cafe.
"Babe," he murmured, huddling around you protectively, "are you okay? Is it… is it something with the baby?"
"I think she just kicked," you breathed, looking up, a smile nudging out of your lips thinning. Zayn watched you for a second, before his hands started fiddling open the front of your jacket, smoothing over your belly under your singlet, rubbing softly, gently. You felt another tiny kick, a little nudge under the skin that made you gasp.
"I felt that one," Zayn beamed, shaking his head a little, peering around the little world you’d created together in a niche by the cafe, "babe, I…" he turned back to face you, "I can’t believe it… our baby just kicked!"
Niall - ”Or maybe Jack, you know,” he sighed, resting his cheek over your thigh, hand trailing lazily up and down your bare stomach, sticking up like a porcelain mound from your body, “or Oliver… even Sean, yeah?”
"Yeah," you smiled down, laying on the fort of pillows you’d made in the living room, running your fingers through his hair, "I like those names."
"Me too," he smiled up, rubbing your belly in circles, "I kinda like… whoa, babe…" he shot up, the same way you did, "did you… you just felt that, right?"
"Put your hand there again," you shook, the corners of your mouth twitching up. You paced out a few seconds before you felt it again, a tiny thud under your skin like your baby kicking, "I can’t believe it," you smiled, gazing down at yourself, "I felt it, Ni."
"Did our…" he grinned, bowing his head to say it, beaming, "did our baby just kick?"
