Forever <R5/Lynch fan fic>

Chapter 8

Ryland was picking me up for our day/date around noon. He won't tell me or Delly where he is taking me because "Its a surprise." Rydel is coming over early to help me get ready for today.

I got up around 8:00 and texted Rydel that I was awake. She got here around 10:30 because she had to get ready. I didn't bother trying to get ready before Rydel came over so I just stayed in my pajamas. When she arrived she immediately started helping me get ready.  After I finshished my regular morning routine, she handed me what I will be wearing. Red skinny jeans and a black shirt along with red flats. After I was dressed Rydel fixed my hair and make-up. She straightned my hair, like I usually would do. This whole look was quite simple. It didn't take as long as usual to get ready so me and Rydel just had random conversations.

"Have you thought about which one of my brothers you could be interested in?" She asked.

"I could be interested in any of them honestly, they're all really great." I reply.

"I'm glad you have an open mind but I kind have a theory about which one likes you more." She winks.

"Really? Who?" I am curious. Rydel knows the boys more than me so the fact that she thinks one of the boys like me more is a kind of a big deal in my opinion. She smirks and then the door bell rings. I look at the clock, 11:45.

"Well, isn't he early." Delly says.

I giggle, "You're just going to avoid my question like that?"

She responds, "Yep." and goes to open the door. Rydel greets her littlest brother and let's him in.

All 3 of us make small talk for a little but before Ryland says, "We should go or we are going to be late." I nod and follow him out of my house. Delly offered to drive us to the mystery location but Ryland declined because he didn't want her to tell the others.

We arrived at a park. Ryland got out of the car and I did as well. "I like the park." I admit, trying to make conversation.

"Me too, but I really on go to the park to play football."

"How long have you been playing?" I wonder, I feel like being an R5 fan I should know. I know when the boys started playing hockey, and I knew about Ryland playing football but I don't know for how long.

"I really started to play when we moved to California."

"Why did you choose to come to the park?" I question.

"Honestly, for that. I want to join in on a local football game here. It starts soon." I nod in reply. I've been to many football games, some with guys. I don't mind watching football, I would just rather have a conversation with Ry before he starts playing. As a girlfriend, I'm very supportive in my boyfriend's hobbies.

Ryland excused himself to the locker room to get changed into his practice jersey. I found a seat in the worn down bleachers. I sat there watching Ryland and his team stretch then eventually scrimmage. Eventually, I got bored and started to play on my phone. I was in the middle of playing Trivia Crack when Rydel calls me.

*Phone Convo*

Katie: Hey Delly .

Rydel: Hey girl, how is it going?

Katie: I'm watching a football game that Ryland wanted to play in at the park.

Rydel: I think my little brother needs some dating advice.

A rough sound comes from Rydel's end of the conversation. I could barely hear what the other person was saying. It sounded like "Is she not having fun? Can I go get her?" It sounded like Ross but I wasn't sure until Rydel says, "No, now leave Ross!"

Rydel: I'm sorry about that.

Katie: Dont worry about it, it's kind of cute.

Rydel: Oh, well I can tell him to come get you if you want.

Even over the phone I could hear her smirking.

Katie: No, no, no. I didn't mean it like that. I just meant it was cute he cared about me having a good time.

Rydel: Sure.

She starts to giggle and I can hear her sarcastic tone.

Katie: I got to go. They are starting a new game.

Rydel: Ok , have fun.

*End of conversation*

I roll my eyes and hang up. It's not that I'm having a bad time, I just want to get to know Ryland more.

Half way through the new game, I started to play my game again. Suddenly,  until everyone screamed and I noticed that Ryland's team got a touchdown, not only was it Ryland's team, it was Ryland.

I found myself mumbling, "that's attractive."
