Chapter 43 : Sierra's Breakup

\SIERRA P.O.V/

"What happened Sierra ?" Katie asks .

"I broke up with Joey ." I look up from my hands .

She thinks for a second.

"Why?"

"Well . I was going to for a while . We've been fighting more, and he's just been a jerk !" I explain .

I'm not sad . I'm actually relived . Even though we dated for a long time, I just never felt that .. Spark that Katie has explained so much about when she talks about Ross .

Katie doesn't know what to say . I can tell . "I'm not sad Katie ." I help her .

"Good . If you don't mind me asking, what did he say .? " She asks and I begin the story .

Flashback

Ross just got recognized . Great, we're gonna be here a while . I just decide to go roam the halls like I use to . See what has changed, which I already can tell ain't much . I hear the footsteps of a person turning the corner .. Joey . Joeys been my boyfriend since the 8th grade , but we just haven't been the same since I left for California . We fight almost every night now, we don't even say 'I love you ' anymore . Lately, I've been thinking about just ending it and to be honest .. It's always been this way . I don't feel a connection with him and I e known it since this first week of the relationship . I've always told myself that if he texts me one more time to just end it but then he acts all sweet when he takes me to the movies .

Joey walks by and sees me, but get this he doesn't stop . He just walks by me without saying a word . He's always done this but his time it just bothers me .

"What ! Ain't gonna talk to your 'girlfriend' after you haven't seen her for almost 6 months." I get his attention .

"Oh, hey Sierra ." Joey grins .

"Hey Sierra ?" I start , "Thats all ?" I question .

Is he for real !!!?? He's such a dumbass sometimes.

"Yeah .... " he drags out . "Well later ." He turns to walk away .

"We're over ." I say calmly .

He turns . "What?" He looks shocked .

Not even upset .

"I'm sorry but we are done , I expected more then just 'hey Sierra' after we've been apart for 6 months . But I guess I was wrong ." I state with the same tone .

"What do you expect ? You left me ! And I'm sorry I can't satisfy this pop star princess anymore !" He spats .

"Pop star princess ? Please . And you should be happy for me this's is my dream and your not even supportive !"

"Because if you wanna put this on yourself, don't come crying to me when I don't even talk to you !"

"We defiantly done ." I hiss .

He's such a jerk ! Why the hell did I stay with him for so long ? I should've left him when he started talking about my friends ! He isn't even gonna fight to be with me ? I thought he 'loved' me , but I guess not . Ross loves Katie, he would've fought for her and they've only been together for 8 months, me and Joey have, no were, together for 3 years!!!

"Fine by me . This just means I don't have to deal with you anymore . I cheated on you anyway !" He hisses .

"Please, like any other girl would go out with you. Unless it's a boy .!" I look him up and down then walk away .

That shocked him and he looks legit hurt . Good . That boy didn't cheat on me . He can't get anyone else . The past 3 years I never had to worry about another girl trying to get with me boyfriend .

"Sierra .. Wait !" He tries .

"Nope!" I pop my knuckles and walk out to the car .

I just broke up with my boyfriend and I feel nothing . No heartbreak . Just relief .

End of flashback

By the end of my story Katie sat there shocked . "I'm so sorry ." She apologizes.

"Don't be . It's cool . I'm fine ." I shrug .

For once she actually believed that . Well it wasn't like I was lying . Ross pulls into Katie's house . Katie rushes out if the car because she has to pee .

Ross laughs . "That's my girl ." He watches her as she struggles to unlock the door .

"Sorry about your breakup ." He soothes.

"Eh . No biggie ." I shrug.

"You love her, right ?" I ask .

"With everything . " He smiles .

"You'd fight if she wanted to leave you .?" I ask another .

"Every second after she said it ." He states walking up to the door .

"And if she did anyway .?" I say .

"I'd die ." He strains .

I smile . "Your good with her ." I compliment .

"Thanks ." He blushes .

"But hurt her and I'll beat yo' ass !" I point .

"You don't have to worry about that ." He reassures .

We walk in the house and find Katie sitting on her bed scrolling through Instagram . That just like her . I get on my own phone and change everything from 'in a relationship' to

'single..'
