Chapter 21

{ROSS P.O.V}

Riker told me that we were going to dinner to meet our new opening act for the next tour. We just arrived at the restaurant that we always go to so we can meet the new acts. When we walk in the door I can hear girls discussing something meaning it's a girl group. I don't pay attention much because I'm checking my phone for messages. I also hear Ally Richards start introducing us. We've worked with her before and she likes to make herself feel proud.

"Sierra, Katie this is who you'll be opening up for." The name Katie hurts every time I hear it. I always want to text her but after awhile I started to feel like I was bothering her. Ally starts talking again, "You covered one of their songs and that's how we discovered you. This is R5."

I usually introduce myself first so i start talking while I lock my phone. "Hi, I'm.." I look up completely and notice it's her. "Katie!" I shout. I stare into her gorgeous blue eyes realizing she is just as shocked as I am.

{KATIE P.O.V}

I could've gotten whiplash from looking up so quickly. My head shot up as soon as I heard the name of the band and I regret not watching them come in the door.

"Hi I'm .... KATIE!!" Ross nearly screams.

I know I look shocked. Hell, I feel paralyzed. "Hi, Ross. " I manage to choke out. I get up from the table and Sierra follows. She shakes the others hands. Ross grabs me and hugs me really tightly but I dont mind it feels good to see him again, to see all of them again. Once I get him to release I hug his sister, brothers and Ratliff. They all tell me they have missed me and apologize for not keeping in touch like they've said. They assure me that they didn't forget me and that they have just been busy. "I understand." I tell them. The boys don't seem mad at all. I heard that Ryland and Riker have found girlfriends and I'm really happy for them. Ryland is dating a girl named Mackenzie and Riker is dating a girl named Emma. Ross and Rocky stayed single. Sierra starts making conversation with them while Ross embraces me again.

"I can't believe it's really you." He whispers in my ear.

"Me either." I whisper back.

"I take it you know them pretty well Katie." Ally says making us break apart.

I nod. "I was lucky enough to hang out with them for about a month." I notify her. She smiles and starts discussing things with Ryland.

"It's been hell without you." Ross states as he takes a seat beside me.

"I know the feeling." I grin . He grins in return. "You stopped texting me." I frown and so does he.

"I felt like I was bothering you all the time and I didn't want to be annoying." He explains.

"You would never annoy me." I say causing him to smile again.

We order dinner. While eating, I catch up with everyone and Sierra gets to know them better. She smiles at me noticing my happiness. After dinner Ross leads me outside. Sierra is talking to Rydel about her outfit. The boys pile into the van. Ross stops, "Can we talk for a second?" He asks me. The memory of him in Georgia, asking the same question before telling me he likes me flash in my head while I shake my head yes.

"Katie, I can't believe it is really you, honestly. I can't believe that you're here. I've missed you so much, its crazy. All I've thought about is you and that letter. Now that your here I feel complete again. I know I stopped texting and calling but I didn't want you to start thinking I was clingy or annoying. I missed you. I honestly still really like you and I hope I didn't ruin my chances. I also know that it's really soon but I'm just going to get to the point. In the letter you said we couldn't be together cause of long distance well you're here now and I couldn't be more grateful that. I'm so lucky, that's fate. So, Katie will you be my girlfriend?" He asks that one question. I've wanted this moment to happen for a really long time now. I never expected it to actually happen. Ross is the sweetest. I've never been asked that way which makes it a thousand times more special and romantic. I notice Ross is tending there scratching the back of his neck like he usually does when he's nervous.

I decide to joke with him so I can tease him a little. "Nervous much?" I giggle.

"Very much." He answers honestly. His voice squeaks a little bit and I find it adorable.

"Don't be." I feel the heat in my cheeks from blushing.

"Why?" He questions and I'm positive he already knows what I mean. I can tell by the smile on his face. His smile is the most amazing smile I have ever seen in my entire life.

"Yes."

"Yes, what?" Now he's teasing me and j know it's only fair. It's pretty cute. I can see us having a playful relationship.

"Yes, rockstar, I'll be your girlfriend."

"Finally!" He pulls me in a hug.

"Finally." I breathe out and lean into the hug more.

We are interrupted by Sierra screaming, "How many times are y'all going to hug?" She winks at me. She's hanging out of the car window.

"I'm allowed to hug my new girlfriend as much as I want." Ross replies to her. Sierra screams and dances around a little bit, trying to not fall out of the window, "Yes!" I blush once he said that and his whole family cheers. It's been a really great first day in L.A.
