Chapter 61: Award Show

I guess Rydel notices my absents this morning . She whispers my name not trying to wake the others .

"I'm with Ross ." I whisper catching her attention .

Rydel appears at the now he now pulled back curtain . "Y'all are good now ?" She cheers .

I nod and she informs me that we have to catch a flight in a hour . I maneuver my way out of Ross' grip so I could get ready .

"Smart plan, wake the boys up last and get the bathroom to ourselves ." I compliment Rydel . We do our little handshake, which basically consists of us using one of our hands to go up, then down, then a fist bump . Simple .

Rydel gets dressed and fixes her makeup quickly, so do I . Ross stumbles into the living room area .

"Babe, why are you out of bed ?" Ross asks in his raspy morning voice .

"Oh, because we have a flight to catch in 30 minutes." I half grin .

His eyes go wide and rushes to get ready . "Wake the other boys up !" Rydel half yells, half laughs to Ross . We listen and hear the other boys rumbling awake . Next thing you know, the bus is filled with noise . Rydel and I sit there playing games on our phones watching the boys panic to get ready. The tour bus comes to a stop at the entrance of the airport, Rydel and I step off . We don't bother packing up our stuff because after the award show we leave back onto tour . The boys rush off the bus first Ross, then Ratliff, then Roker, then Rocky .

"Who's the last one of the bus now ??" I stick my tongue out at them . They roll their eye.

Ross suddenly appears beside me and grabs my hand, intertwining our fingers . We make our way to the security check, then loading dock . Soon we were on the plane back to L.A .

We take our seats at the ward arena . We spent 2 and a half hours on a plane and 3 hours getting ready for the event . We just arrived and take our seats . Ross takes the isle seat, I sit beside him, Rydel beside me, Rocky, Riker, Ratliff and to finish Ryland, Mark and Stormie . Rocky invited Sierra but sadly she had to work in the studio on her solo songs for our upcoming album, I finished mine before I left with R5 .

I zone out for a few minutes of the show . Until the first award R5 is nominated for comes to hearing . 'Loudest Song ' . This was a given award for R5, I mean they're nominated for their song 'Loud ', so of course they'll win . To my guessing they do . They give a short speech thanking the R5 family, actual family, producers and even me .

R5 ends of winning both the categories they were nominated for .

Next comes the TV Show section of awards . Ross is nominated for many awards since he's on Austin & Ally . He wins 2 over all his nomination .

Finally comes the surprise award, and last award Ross is nominated for .

"Now it is time for our final award !" Nina Dobrev, one host, announces .

"The awards title is ... " Ian Somerholder, the second host, trails .

Both hosts this year our from the show The Vampire Diaries, they were the most recommended .

"CUTEST REAL LIFE COUPLE ." They say in unison .

Wait, of Ross is nominated then technically I am to, right ?

"The winners of the cutest real life couple is ... Ross Lynch & Katie Dirsey ." Nina exclaims .

Ross looks over at me and smiles, he takes my hand leading me to the stage . I'm shocked, we really are the cutest couple in the world .

We ascend the stairs and take our award . Ross and I thank everyone for voting for us .

"KISS, KISS, KISS ." The crowd chants .

Ross turns facing me and leans in . I fill the space between us . We kiss but only for a minute or so . We break away at the crowds 'awes' .

After the award show, Ross wraps his arms around me . "We are the best couple babe."

"EVERYONE ALREADY KNEW THAT ." His family and Ratliff cheers pecking through the curtains .

We laugh . I turn towards Ross and kiss him surprisingly without his attention . It doesn't take long for him to kiss back .

"I love you ." I grin .

"I love you more ."
