Chapter Ten

We arrived at school and the boys was waiting at the gate.

"Hey guys" I greeted

"Morning, Jordan was asking about you" Joe said

"What? What he'd say?" I asked

"He was wondering where you were. He didn't say why" Zach said

"Do you think he'll act like himself today?" Will asked

"100%" Zack said

"Hey Liz!" I heard Jordan yell "Can I talk to you for a second?"

"Yeah, sure" I said. We walked over to the side of the school and he turns around towards me. "What'd you want to talk about?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my place" He asked

"I can't" I said

"Not for what you think. I'm not hitting on you" He said

"Really? The Jordan isn't actually hitting on me." I teased

"Yeah, so we can work on the story" He said

"I still can't" I said "I'm grounded"

"Why?" He asked

"Remember? The fight? The fight where you beat up my friend and hit me" I replied

"Don't bring that up. But why did they do that?" He said

"You didn't get in trouble?" I asked

"Yes but they didn't go that far" Jordan said"How are we going to work on the story then?"

"I can ask if you can come over to mine. Just don't say anything about the fight" I explained "Oh shit we can't"

"What why?"

"You're bruises, she'll know it was you who fought us" I said

"Why don't you cover it with makeup for something?" Jordan asked

"You really want to wear makeup?"

"If we can work on the story then yeah" He trailed off

"Okay, I'll ask now" I said text my mom. She asked me who it was and that I'm not allowed to leave door closed "She said she's fine with it. Just a couple of rules that I'll explain later"

"Okay, see you later" Jordan said as the bell rang. I met up with me and we went to our class

Bee and I waited for the boys so we can go eat. We saw Mitchell and Zach and they walked over to us

"Hey Mitchell, hey Zach" I greeted

"Hey" They said at the same time

"We're actually going to go eat somewhere since Liz or Zach can't come with us after school" Bee explained

"Okay, Ryan wants to talk to you Liz" Zach said

"Ryan? Why?" I asked. "Oh yeah" I said

"What?" Bee asked

"I told Jordan Ryan asked me to prom to piss him off" I replied

"That's probably why he's not his usual self. You broke his heart" Zach said in a sad tone

"Just because I said someone asked me to prom? Not likely" I laughed

"Liz? Can I talk to you?" Ryan asked behind me. I nodded and we walked to clear ish hallway "So I heard you and I are going to prom together" He smiled

"Ha, never" I said

"Jordan told me what you said, I know you like me" Ryan said

"Not even, I just said that to piss him off. I'd never go out with someone like you" I said

"Call me sometime" He winked writing his phone number on a piece of paper. I crushed it and threw it in the garbage. I walked back to the lobby and everyone was still there, and Will, Joe, and Zack was there too.

"What was that about?" Bee asked

"You don't wanna know" I said as we walked out
