Chapter Sixteen

I walked inside and the house was empty. I guess mom was at work... I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and headed straight up to my room. I changed into something more comfortable and laid in bed. Thinking about what happened today. Well, what happened with Jordan. Why didn't I tell him I was already going with someone? Why did I get so nervous? A bunch of questions popped into my head that I couldn't find the answer for. I laid there for what have felt like minutes then I heard I knock at my door. I checked the time and it was 6:30pm, I laid there for more than an hour.

"What?" I said annoyed as I answering the door. It was Joe and Zack there. I guess laying in bed made me get in a bad mood

"Wow, hello to you too" Joe said sarcastically

"Always a pleasure speaking with you" Zack added in

"Sorry, it's just.." I trailed off

"You mean.." Joe said knowing I was talking about Jordan

"Bee told us" Zack said. I let them in and I walked to the kitchen with them following

"Did she tell Will?" I asked grabbing them a water from a fridge

"Tell Will what?" I heard someone said, I turned around and Will was standing beside Joe.

"Umm nothing" I lied

"Jordan asked her to prom" Zack added in and Joe hit him

"What? Did you say no?" Will asked

"Of course I did" I lied again

"No, she said she was thinking about it" Zack said I threw the water bottle at him but he caught it

"You know what? I actually gotta go" Will said exiting out the door

"What the fuck Zack?" I said

"What? You were. Bee said" He defended

"No, Bee said Jordan said she should think about it. How could you get that mixed up?" Joe said

"Exactly you asshole" I said

"Sorry, I wasn't really listening to what Bee was saying" He said

"It's fine. I don't think Will wants to talk to me though" I sighed giving Joe his water.

"We'll explain it to him. Don't worry about it" Joe said "And as in we, I mean Zack will explain it to him" He added in

"What? Why me?" Zack asked

"What do you mean 'why me'? You were the one who told him Liz was actually thinking about going with Jordan." Joe said

"Okay fine, I'll talk to him" Zack said "Sorry Liz" He said again

"It's okay, do you guys want to watch a movie?" I asked and they both nodded

"What do you want to watch?" Joe asked

"21 Jump Street" Zack suggested. Joe and I agreed and watched it on Netflix.

Just as the movie was about to end, I heard my mom walked in

"I'm home- oh hello boys" She greeted

"Hey Mrs. Rose" They both said

"Hi mom" I said

"Well, Liz and I were going out to eat tonight, would you both like to join us? I'll pay" She said

"Yeah, we'd love to. But you don't have to pay for us" Joe said

"No no, it's fine. We'll be leaving soon" She said as she walked upstairs

"I guess you guys are coming along" I smiled

"Yeah, where are we going?" Zack asked

"I don't know. Probably go get pizza or something" I shrugged

"Oh and Liz, didn't you say Bee was coming!" My mom yelled from upstairs

"Yeah, I'll call her to see if she still is" I replied. I took out my phone and called her

B: Hello?

L: Hey, it's me. Are you still coming? If you are we're leaving soon

B: Oh yeah, I'll be there in a minute

L: And Zack and Joe are coming along

B: Cool, be there soon

We hung up and my mom came down from upstairs

"So is she coming?" She asked

"Yeah, she'll be here soon-" I said but interrupted but a knock on the door "Or now." I smiled as I answered the door and Bee was standing there

"Hi" Bee greeted

"Hey" I said letting her in

"Where do you guys want to go?" My mom asked

"Pizza?" I asked and everyone agreed. We all got in the car and drove to Pizza Hut.
