Chapter Twenty Three

I cleared my throat and answered

L: Hello?

J: ...Liz? Are you okay? Sounds like you were crying

L: What? I'm fine

J: Really Liz, what's the matter?

L: It's nothing Jordan.

J: C'mon Liz, just tell me

L: It's nothing! What do you want?

J: Look, I was just wondering if you wanted to come out tonight.

I sighed and got another call.

L: Hold on Jordan, getting another call.

I answered and it was Bee.

L: Hey Bee

B: Hey, Mitchell told me what happened

L: Did he now?

B: Yeah, I'm sorry about him.

L: It's fine, I can't believe he thought of me like that

B: Let's just not talk about him. What are you up to?

L: Talking to Jordan

B: 'bout what?

L: He asked me if I wanted to go out tonight. I don't know if I want to

B: I think you should. Because you need to get your mind of Will and hanging out with someone will help, better than moping around.

L: Yeah, I guess you're right. See you later

I went back to Jordan and said yes. Once we made plans we hung up and I laid back on my bed. I checked the time and it was 5:04pm. We were going to meet at 7:30, we're going bowling.

It was 7:16pm and I was all ready. I was wearing a pair of skinny jeans, an oversized sweater and a beanie. My mom was also gone for the might so it was just me right now. I put my makeup on and went on my phone to pass the time.

There was a knock at the door and it was Jordan.

"You look great" He greeted as I blushed.

Once we got there, we got our shoes and went to our lane. I didn't play very well so of course Jordan won. We played 2 games and he won both of them. Then after we got some food

"You were suppose to let the girl win" I said sarcastically as I ate a fry.

"What? Who said?" Jordan asked

"It's just how it works" I giggled

"Well, next time I'll let you win" He added

"You better, or at least let's do something I can kick your ass in" I said

"Like what?" He asked

"Video games" I replied

"Oh please, I'm the best. You can't beat me" He said

"Whatever makes you sleep at night" I muttered as he playfully hit me

He drove me back to my place and walked me to my door.

"I had fun" I said turning towards him

"Just fun?" He added in

"I had a fantastic time" I said

"That's better" He smiled

Utter silence came over us. There was a moment where Jordan and I just stared at each other. With a few cars driving past and the light of the moon shining on his face. He smiled at me and I blushed.

Just as I was about to say good bye, Jordan bent down a bit as he cupped my cheeks and pressed his lips onto mine.
