20. Video Chat

Sunlight started to come through the window. I opened my eyes and looked around. Zach was not in bed. I got up and looked around. I started to calm down when I heard the shower running.

I got up and opened the curtains in the room. "Good morning." I turned and saw Zach standing in a towel. "Good morning." I walked over to him and gave him a kiss on the lips. "So what are we doing today?" I said sitting on the bed. "Well today was just gonna be a free day. A day to just relax. I was actually gonna go for a run right now before you woke up. I am sorry if I woke you." Zach said getting up to dry off. "Its ok. I had to get up early anyways. Minerva and Monica are going to video chat me." I said with a smile.

"I know you are happy about that. You have a lot to tell them." Zach said getting dressed. "I know! They are never going to believe that we are together now." I said getting my laptop. "Actually they knew this was gonna happen I told them in advance what I was gonna do." Zach said tying his shoes.

     "You are so sneaky." I said folding my arms. Zach walked over to me and gave me a kiss. "But you love it." He said with a smile. I walked him to the door. "I should be back in an hour or so. Just call me if you need me." Zach said holding his phone. I nodded ok and smiled. He gave me a passionate kiss then started jogging down the path. I smiled as I watched him run out of site. I walked back inside and grabbed my laptop to check my email before Minerva and Monica video chatted me.

A few minutes later my laptop started to ring and I answered it. "Hey guys!" I said happy to see my friends. "Hey you look happy today." Minerva said with a smile. "Happy! Minerva girl Layla is glowing! Did you get some?" Monica said curious. "That is none of your business Monica!" I said laughing. Monica looked at Minerva. "She so got some." Minerva laughed at Monica's statement. "So how is the baby. You are 4 months now right?" Minerva asked. "Yep I am in my second trimester and I feel fat!" I said looking down at my stomach. "So when is your second doctors appointment?" Monica asked. "The week after we come back. The doctor will be telling us the gender of the baby." I said excited. "That is so great Layla." Minerva said happy. "Well we just called to check in on you. We will see you when you get back." Monica said. I told my friends good bye and closed my laptop.

I decided to start making breakfast since Zach was going to be back soon.

I was almost done cooking when I heard a knock at the door. Maybe Zach forgot his key. I walked over to the door and opened it. Before I had time to respond I heard a loud BANG!

I felt a sharp pain to my left side as I fell to the floor. "I told you I would be back." said...........................................

Bet you did not see that one coming! Omg! I really hate myself right now. It took me forever to decide weather or not this would happen. I finally decided that things can't always be happy and perfect and lovey-dovey. So I decided to have Someone shoot Layla. ( I have a good feeling that you all know who it is.)
