47. Lunch with Zoe

We walked into the Star Trek themed restaurant and I smiled when I saw Zoe waving at us. "Hey sorry we are late." Zach said with a smile as we sat down. "No problem it is good to see you guys." Zoe said with a smile. "You too." I responded.

We ordered our food and we laughed and talked. "So Zoe I heard you got married congratulations!" I said with a smile. "Well Chris told me that you two are engaged!" Zoe said shocked. "Dang! We were gonna tell you today but it looks like Chris beat us to it." Zach said looking over to me.

"Yes we are planning to get married in New York." I said putting my hand on Zach's. "Thats great! Congratulations. So how are the kids?" Zoe asked. "They are fine. They actually said their first words today." Zach said proudly.

"Really at the same time. What did they say?" Zoe asked in wonder. Zach looked at me and smiled. "Dada." Zach said making fun. "Oh did you want their first word to be mama Layla?" Zoe asked me looking at the both of us.

Of course I do!

"Ya but the funny thing is they said it when they saw Zach on Star Trek into darkness." I said with a smile. "Omg really that is so funny!" Zoe laughed.We all laughed together and then things got serious real fast.

"Oh Zach have they found Jonathan since the incident...." Zoe asked Zach looked away from us. "Um no. They never found him. All we know is that he lost his contract with Glee and he is still out there." I said sadly.

"I am sorry to hear that." Zoe said. "The police weren't sorry when they called off the search after 3 months!" Zach said frustrated. "Im sorry." Zoe said. I put my hand on Zach's lap and whispered in his ear.

"Zach it is ok. Look at me I am alive and all is well." I said with a smile. "Ya for now." Zach said looking at me worried.

(Miles away in a run down apartment in New York.)

Jonathan was sitting on the couch reading a magazine. "Well well.....Layla had twins." he said looking at a photo of Zach and Layla out with their kids. "Stupid bitch stole my man. You ruined my life!" he said as he threw the magazine against a wall.

"I lost my job I lost everything..... and I am not gonna let you get away with it." he said crumbling the magazine.

I know it was short. I have been busy with this thing called life! Lol jk but no I have been busy with school and stuff.

The story is 50 chapters and sadly all good things must come to and end. Don't worry I will finish the story. I am still thinking about weather or not to make a sequel for this story talking about Zach and Layla's parenthood struggles.
