2 months later

It has been two months since the babies were born and it was finally time for me to go back to work.

"I'm gonna miss you mama's babies!" I said in a baby voice to the twins. "Zach I can call in sick." I said putting on my heels. "No you have patients that need you! Don't worry I have everything under control." Zach said handing me my briefcase.

"I already made enough bottles for the day." I said grabbing my keys. "Yes dear." Zach said walking me to the door. "If you need me call me!" I said before I got in my car.

"I have everything under control." Zach yelled from the door. I drove off sadly not wanting to leave my babies.

Zach's POV

Ok this should not be that hard.

I walked into the nursery and checked on the babies. They are still sleep.

I walked into the kitchen and made some coffee. I sat at the island in the kitchen and read over my script for The Glass Menagerie.

A few seconds later the baby monitor went off. I walked into the nursery and smiled at the now awaken babies.

"Good morning Joslyn." I said picking her up out of her crib. I went over to the change table to change her diaper. After I was done changing her I walked over to John's crib.

"Morning lil man." I said taking him over to his sister who was laying on the change table.

After they were both cleaned up I took them into the kitchen and got out their bottles.

I helped them hold their bottles as they drank the milk Layla left for them.

And she thought I could not handle it

After all their milk was gone I sat them in their play pin and turned the tv on to Playhouse Disney. (I know I know it is Disney Junior now but I think Playhouse Disney was better!)

While they were watching Doc McStuffins my laptop started to ring.

I hope it's New York!

I grabbed my laptop and answered it. I sighed when I saw Layla's face pop up on the screen.

"Hi dear." I said sarcastically. "Hey Zach how is everything going?" Layla asked. "Everything is fine the kids are in their play pin." I said with a smile.

Right on cue John sneezed. Layla started to look panicked. "Did John just sneeze?!" she asked. "How did you know it was John?" I asked. "A mother knows her children. My baby is sick I am coming home right now!" Layla said as she logged off.

I closed my laptop and sighed. "See John this is proof that your mom maybe be a lil bit protective."

Layla's POV

I closed my laptop and grabbed my briefcase. I walked past the front desk and Sophie stopped me.

"Where are you going?" Sophie asked. "John sneezed he probably has a fever. I need to go home." I said about to open the door. Sophie grabbed my hand. "Wait come sit down." she said pulling me over to her desk. I sighed and sat down.

"Look I know it is scary leaving knowing there are babies back at home that need you. Do you remember my first day back at work after I had Lizzy?" she said siting at her desk.

"You kept calling to check on her even though nothing was.....,.,."

I started to get her point.

"It is normal to worry. Just don't make yourself sick." she said with a smile.

"Oh and the boss called today." she said. "What did he say?" I asked curiously. "He wants us to expand our clinic."

"That's great Sophie! Are lil clinic is gonna expand! Where does he want the new clinic?" I asked excited. "Thats the problem he wants to move one of us to New York to start the new clinic." she said seriously.

My heart dropped. "How long does the offer stand?" I asked. "He said 1 year. He does not want us to rush into anything but it does not matter I am not gonna go." Sophie said putting up some files.

"What why Zach and I just went to New York when Zach had his audition and it was great out there. They have some great schools for Lizzy and some parks too. We even went to go look at condos. I can give you the numbers if you want." I said looking in my briefcase for the business cards.

"That's why I am not going to take the job. Zach is an amazing actor. When he gets casted you will have to move out there." She said with a smile.

I started to get emotional. "Thank you so much Sophie." I got up and gave my friend a hug. "Your welcome." she said hugging me back.

6 hours later

Zach's POV

I was getting the babies ready for bed when I heard Layla walk into the house. She walked into the nursery and smiled. "So you made it through the day." I said sarcastically. She ignored my comment and kissed me.

"What was that about?" I asked after we separated.

"Nothing I just had a good day."
