1 week later

Zach and I were sitting at the table drinking coffee. We were waiting for the babysitter to arrive so we could go to work.

"I hope she is nice." I said taking a sip of coffee. "Why would Cat give us a mean babysitter?" Zach asked sarcastically. "I don't know. I am just worried. We have not left the twins since they were born." I said looking over at the twins who were crawling around in the living room.

"Layla when we went to Vegas we did not bring the kids." Zach said. "Ya but they were with Minerva and Monica. Not with a complete stranger." I said.

There was a knock at the door. "I got it." I said getting up and fixing my suit. "How do I look?" I asked Zach. "Layla just open the door." Zach said grabbing our cups to put in the kitchen.

I opened the door and smiled. "Hello you must be Kelly." I said letting the the girl in. "Hello Ms.Kelly. Hey we have the same name." the girl said with a laugh. "Oh ya we do." I said with a smile.

I walked her into the living room where the kids were. "So these are the twins?" Kelly said with a smile. "Yes this is Joslyn and John." I said. Kelly sat on the floor with the kids. She started to go through her bag. "Well while I am babysitting you guys you will be known as Prince John." she said putting a crown on his head. "And Princess Joslyn." she said putting a tiara on Joslyn.

I smiled at my happy children. "Well someone is happy." Zach said coming into the living room. Kelly turned around and saw Zach. She looked up at him in shock.

"Hi Kelly thank you for babysitting for us." Zach said shaking her hand. "No thank you Mr.Quinto for the business." she said with a smile.

"Ok so emergency contacts are on the fridge. If a man named Chris Pine comes by tell him we are both at work." I said with a smile. Kelly nodded. We went over to the kids and kissed them goodbye. Zach and I took the elevator down to the lobby. "So are you ready for your first day." Zach asked me. "Yep as ready as I will ever be." I said giving him a kiss. "See you later." I told him before I got in my car.

I was almost at the new office. I parked in front of the building. I got out of my car and walked up to the door. I unlocked the door and walked in. I looked around.

The office had no furniture and the walls were half painted. "Hello...." I said seeing if anyone would answer. "Back here!" I heard a voice yell from down a hall. I walked down a hall and walked into a room when I saw a man painting the walls.

"Hello you must be Layla my name is Jacob." The man said putting his paintbrush down to shake my hand. "Hello Jacob it is nice to meet you." I said with a smile. I looked at what the man was wearing.

He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. "Sorry I don't look so professional." he said gesturing to me. "The boss man hired some people to finish the renovations but they did not show up today. So I decided to come in and help." he said with a smile.

"So when will the renovations be done?" I asked him. "In 2 months." he answered. "2 months!" I said surprised. "Don't worry. We are still getting paid and I have all of your new clients in this file." he said handing me a flash drive.

"You will FaceTime all your clients until the clinic is done. Are you used to that?" he asked me. "Yes I FaceTimed all my clients when I was on maternity leave." I said. "Oh you have kids." he asked. "Yes a boy and a girl." I said with a smile.

"I would love to get to know my new boss better. You want to go out for lunch?" he asked me wiping off his hands. "Sure you know a good place to eat around here. Im new to New York." I said. "Ya I now a great deli down the street." he said opening the door for me.

So Jacob and I had lunch and we talked and laughed. Jacob is a single dad and he has a son around the twins age. After we were done eating I drove home. I parked my car and checked the time.

It was only 4:00.

So I decided that I would walk to the theatre and surprise Zach with lunch. I bought a sandwich from a street vender and headed to the theatre.

When I walked in the lights were dim and I saw Zach on stage with another woman arguing.

"What in Christ's name am !" Zach yelled. "Don't you use that -" the woman yelled but Zach cut her off. "Supposed to do !" Zach yelled. "Expression !Not in my -" she yelled back.

"And cut!" the director yelled. "Great job today everyone. We will pick up were we left off tomorrow." the director said. Zach was laughing with the actors on stage when he looked into the audience and saw me.

I looked at him and smiled. I walked backstage to see him. "Hey." he said giving me a kiss. "Hey I bought you a sandwich." I said with a smile. "Thanks." he said setting it down on a table. "Did you drive here?" he asked me. "No I walked." I said with a smile.

"Good for you. Let me just get my keys so we can head home." he said getting his bag.

Zach and I headed home. By the time we got there it was 6:15. We were in the elevator when I looked at Zach and smiled. "So I liked your country accent while you were practicing." I said with a smile. "Thank you very much." he said in a country accent.

We got off the elevator and unlocked the door. "We are home." I yelled when we walked in. The twins were in the living room watching a cartoon with Kelly when we walked in.

When they saw us the both smiled and stood up. We were going to walk over to them and pick them up but they started to slowly waddle towards us!

"Oh my gosh Zach get the camera! There walking!" I yelled happily. They were half way there. Zach pulled out his IPhone and was recording it. "Come on babies your almost there come to mommy." I said stretching my hands out.

Once they finally reached Zach and I we picked them up. "Good job babies!" I said with a smile. "High five!" Zach said giving the babies a high five.

"I walked them around the house all day but this is the first time they are walking by themselves." Kelly said with a smile. "Thank you so much for your help Kelly. We will call you whenever we need a babysitter." Zach said with a smile.

We paid Kelly and she said bye to the kids. After she left we ate dinner and then put the kids to bed. Zach and I were cleaning up in the kitchen.

"Layla I am free next weekend. Did you want to go pick out the cake?" Zach asked me. "Sure we can have Kelly babysit for us." I said with a smile. "Then it's set next weekend we will pick out our cake." Zach said putting up the dishes.
