22. Visitors

It has been a day since I got shot. The doctor told me that I could leave tomorrow after they were sure the twins are ok. Zach called all my friends and family. So they are all rushing over here to see me. I was sitting in my bed when a heard someone come in.

"Hey I brought you some good food instead of this nasty hospital stuff." said Zach as he pulled over an eating tray.

He got me Two cheese burgers and a large coke.

"Thank you love." I said before I gave him a kiss. "Your a life saver." I opened up the bag and took out my burger. I looked at Zach and he looked distant. "Zach whats wrong?" I asked him worried. "Well I did not tell you this yesterday but...."

Before Zach could finish his sentence Monica came in the room yelling with Minerva behind her holding a teddy bear and flowers.

"Where is he! Where is he!" Monica yelled coming over to Zach. "Monica...." I tried to talk but she stopped me. "No! I don't want to hear anything out of you! Zach

where is he!" Monica said pointing at Zach. "Monica they are still looking for him. So calm down." Zach said quietly.

"We heard about the twins congratulations!" Minerva said putting the flowers on a near by table. I looked at Zach with a raised eyebrow. "Well I was going to tell everyone once they got here but, somebody can't hold water." I said looking at Zach.

"I'm sorry I was excited!" Zach said throwing his hands up in defeat. "So how are you feeling Layla?" Monica asked finally calming down. "I feel a lot better but my morning sickness was really bad today." I said putting my hands on top of my stomach. "So how was the flight over here?" I asked my friends.

They both looked at each other and looked at Zach. "Well your an actor right?" Zach looked at Monica confused. "Yes I am an actor." "Well are you a good actor?" Minerva asked.

"Yes I am a good actor!" Zach said

"Well if your such a good actor why did we have to be in coach!" Monica yelled.

Zach looked at me and I smiled. "I am going to tell you the same thing I told Layla. Just because I am an actor does not mean that I always get first class. It's expensive."

Monica and Minerva nodded in understanding. We had all been talking for a while when my parents came in. "Aw my baby!" My mom came and gave me a hug. "Are you ok?" My dad asked concerned.

"I am better now you guys thank you." I said with a smile. My mother turned to Zach and smiled. "Thank you for paying for are plane tickets Zachary." "Your welcome it was no trouble." Zach said with a smile. "You did not have to buy us first class. We would have been fine in coach." My dad said.

"It's alright I always get the first class seats." Zach said with a smile. Minerva , Monica and I all looked at Zach and thought one thing.

Kiss up

We all started to have different conversation with each other when the doctor came in.

"Ms.Kelly Mr.Quinto would you like to know the gender of the babies?" The doctor asked wheeling in the ultrasound machine.

Everyone looked at us smiling. We looked at each other and smiled. "Yes we would like to know." I said with a smile.

Everyone stepped to the side and let the doctor put the gel on my stomach.

I looked up at Zach and smiled. "Are you ready to see two lil girls?" Zach said with a smug smile. "Whatever." I said with a smile.

The doctor turned the screen towards all of us. "Ok here is baby 1. There's it's arm, it's leg." The doctor paused and smiled. "His head." I looked at Zach and smiled.

"I told you I told you! You owe me a date!" I said poking him. "Ok I see baby 2." Everyone got quiet. "I see the head, the arms." The doctor looked at Zach and smiled. "Her legs."

I thought Zach was going to tell me I told you so but he did not. He was so in aw. "Zach." I said making sure he was ok. "A girl. A lil baby girl." He said looking at the ultrasound.

I put my hand on top of his. "Are baby girl and boy." I said with a smile.

Everyone came around us and congratulated us until visiting hours were over.

Once everyone was gone I turned and looked at Zach.

"So what were you saying earlier?" Zach looked at me. "Well the doctor told me that if I would not have made it to the cabin in time you and the babies would be dead right now."

I put Zach's hand on my stomach. "Hey look at me I'm fine and the babies are fine. Everything is fine. It's gonna take a lot more than a gun shot wound to get rid of me." I said giving him a kiss before we both fell asleep in each others arms.
